Chandigarh Smart City Proposal

Start Date :

Dear Citizens and Stakeholders ...
To become smart city, needs to handle issues 1.Restrict number of vehicles to 1-2 per house not to be per person. less vehicle means less pollution 2.Install waste management system where authorized persons will visit sectors for free pick-up 3.To handle unidentified population, first make the registration of person at suvidha at sector level and then grab household owner who hides the detail of tenant to avoid income tax 4.Increases the public transport which also covers outskirts of Chandigarh
People living in large cities usually travel far everyday to work. So,an app or website(preferably handled by govt.) where citizens can register themselves along with residential address and office address. Here it finds a house within a radius of (say 2km) of office among all its registered users and suggests a list of options. It is basically house swapping. To promote this, the govt. can give some incentives like exemption or reduction in stamp duty etc.Helps to reduce traffic and time waste.
Chandigarh is Getting smarter but Some more cleanliness and following rules would make it more better.
I guess chandigarh is quite smart though it lacks flyover near the tribune chowk ...which causes a lot of traffic jam
Monorail, good bus service and taxi service will help easing congestion. Make parking expensive in city, improve and build world class public transport infrastructure, people will use it if it is if high standards, increase heavy fines on traffic offenses. These things will lead to people using public transport morw
2. Concrete footpaths require less maintenance and are long lasting. If you are going to leave every place open with sand blowing with wind then whole city will look dirty. Have a look at other cities in western world. All areas have concrete footpaths well layed and not crappy tiles.
3. Install automatic traffic cameras with sensors in roads which click pictures automatically for traffic violations. You will recover money from the fines.
4. Improve public transport. Build monorail
I would like to suggest a few things please do implement them as i have been living in melbourne from 2 years and i am giving suggestions based on what i learned here:
1. Please make parking properly marked and expensive in city and install parking meters. Install parking boards regarding how many hours parking is at a place and then use the money collected for salary of parking inspectors who will keep a check on every car. Implement clearway zones on busy roads.
2 build concrete footpaths
I need to suggest first over the road have waterlogging system bcoz in rain the road convert into river and through rain a system activate to store water tragic free system most road lane should increase in seqquese but never decrease it creates tragic free CCTV cameras install at every turning point transport way have cycle track and walking track also separate
Chandigarh has schools, colleges, universities, hospitals and also many tourist attractions. It is a well planned city.
in chd we should setupp more recyclable plants so that we can manage our wastess then we should stress onn smart traffic management.we should stress on sustainiable development these all things are most importantt.for the development of our city
