Under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) has created, a mobile and web music application ‘SANGAM’, as the name of the application suggests, has been conceived as an aural confluence of several streams of devotion and divinity, as also a confluence of the various art forms that are part of our musical traditions. The application has been envisioned as a one-stop virtual destination for the connoisseurs of music of classical, folk, devotional and popular styles alike.

‘SANGAM’ is a first of its kind initiative taken by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and the following are its major features:

1. Sangam features over 2500 devotional tracks in 24 Indian languages on themes such as Mantras, Lord Vishnu (and his various Avatars like Ram and Krishna, etc.), Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Goddess Durga and Devis (such as Lakshmi, Saraswati) etc.

2. The content includes songs and music from the National Audio-Visual Cultural Archives, by Bharat Ratna(s) PanditBhimsen Joshi, Ustad Bismillah Khan and Dr. M.S. Subbulakshmi; and incorporates recitation and recitals from classical texts like The Vedas, Adi Shankaracharya’s Moha Mudgara, poet Jayadeva’s Gita Govinda, Goswami Tulsi Das’s Ram Charit Manas, Dohas of Sant Kabir, Bhajans of Meera Bai, Kritis of Thyagaraja and Abhangs of Sant Tukaram, to name only a few.

3. Furthermore, the rich content includes Thumris, Dadras, Bhajans, Abhangs, Kritis and Padams and other genres across various traditions of Hindustani & Carnatic Classical Music and folk music.

4. Sangam App will be updated soon with several Sufi, Gurbani and other devotional tracks from all faiths.

Sangam App is available now on Android and iOS platforms, and also as a web application.

Sangam ek behtar madhyam hai, sabhi bhashaon ko ek hi platform par sath mai lane ka.... Anekta mai ekta hi humare bharat desh kisi pehchan hai.... SANGAM ke zariye in bhashaon ko amartv ki praapti hogi. Hume dusre culture ko janne ka moka milega. Sarkaar ke is umda prayaas ke liye khub khub badhaiyaan.

संगम का अर्थ ही मेल होता है . इस एप्प के माध्यम से विभिन्न संस्कृतियों एवं सांस्कृतिक गीतों को एक स्थान पर एकत्र करना बहुत ही सराहनीय है.भारत सरकार ने गीतों का संगम करा कर जन भावना के लिए एक उत्कृष्ट मार्ग प्रशस्त किया है.

Culture is the identity of every person. Human is the social live and intellectual also so culture practice will be the phenomena. Culture may be different of different people, different age group, different places but culture practice is common phenomena of human being. So this is a well thought initiative by government, and this will persist, we must appreciate government.

It is best for our citizens but this app regarding many people unknown
So please aware and advice from this app so he and which want to take some own platform form this way so kindly attention there which one don't know about this app it is best initiative.

Every new initiative gets some hindrance, here also it can happen for launching of SANGAM app but govt. should go ahead. After some days this new initiative may open a new horizon of economic growth and social progress. So please carry on.

Congratulations to government officials and all stake holders for making this happen. The values we carry and heritage and legacy we leave will be inherited by our youth. The legacy will become nation's destiny.

Really this is the good app.Music ke saath-saath isme aur bhi cheeze add hona chhaiye aisa mera maanna hai,science knoweledge bhi isme add hona chhaiye.isme vedo ke bare me bhi hume gyan mil raha hai.senior citizen 's atyant hi prasann hai,young generation ko music ke saath-saath musical instruments ke bare me bhi knowledge ho raha hai.yuva ke liye music ke field meye appumdahai
