The stage 2 of the Smart City competition is very crucial as each city’s Smart City Proposal (SCP) is supposed to contain the model chosen, whether retrofitting or redevelopment ...
My post is about warning system for earthquakes leveraging use of telecommunication. Earthquakes are generally detected only few moments before it strikes. So when ever a quake is detected an automatic computerized system should should stop all phone calls and just ring as many phones as possible because quake warning even a minute before can save most of lives.
Dear Respected Sir,
I have some ideas to clean city and avoid traffic problems.
(1)Allow public transport only inside city and encourage using it.(2) Provide Smart card by RTA authority to use all public transport. (3)Encourage to use bicycles and electric motor vehicles. (4)Give important to use water transport. (5)In the border of the city, make huge parking facilities for privet vehicles. (6)Smart city should be green city, make small gardens, children’s park and water fountains.
The real task for making chandigarh a smart city is Education. The parameters should be
1. How many students from schools have represented India in various Olympiad movements at international level.
2. How many students are really Digitally Literate - this does not mean just internet surfing or Google search or Facebook. How many can use Computers in efficient manner.
3. How many residents have wormiculture in their bunglow - means how less you give your trash outside the bunglow.
A suggestion to MC Office. Please take a strict action against those who burn debris and garbage along road. Including me there are so many who are suffering with breathing problem. #StartWith1Thing

Urgent suggestions for consideration / implementation to reduce daily evening traffic jam, at HalloMajra Chowk (Chandigarh) where on average a car takes half an hour to cross the roundabout in evening.https://docs.google.com/document/d/1o-oGF_FigzP8bF5dW-ccrIdh8EPd-A6M6d59HIntp1c/edit?usp=sharing
Rain water harvesting must be used as well as sufficient water must be supplied.
To begin with, the authorities should consider plying of vehicles on the basis of their last digit on date wise basis viz. the vehicles ending with digit one should not be allowed to ply on 1st 11th and 31st of a month and so on. This will definitely reduce traffic on roads and a step further in making Chandigarh a smart city. It can be applied on weekly basis lateron if some positive result is not achieved.
However on Saturdays and Sundays all vehicles should be allowed so that public can enjoy their weekends with families without any inconvenience.
To reduce traffic on roads,Chandigarh Police should also start challan of vehicles having last digit 1 and 6 on Mondays; 2 and 7 on Tuesdays' 3 and 8 on Wednendays; 4 and 9 on Thursdays and 5 and 0 on Fridays. In this way, 20% vehicles will remain off road every day.Instead of introduction of even/odd policy, the above proposal would be more effective and will definitely reduce traffic and vehicles pollutionto some extent and there will also not be much harassment to general public in general.
