Start Date :

Last Date :

The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports is implementing the Scheme of Pension for Meritorious Sportspersons since 1994. Under this Scheme, life-time monthly pension is given to ...
The pension should be equal and fixed for all till whole life of the sports person. The welfare money should also be fixed payable on the certain events like critical illness, sudden demise of the sports person.
All those who are directly or indirectly connected with the sports and earning revenue through the sports should contribute a % of their revenue towards the scheme for pensions/welfare of eligible sports persons. An equal amount should be paid by the state/central Govts. through the allocation in their budget Plus a % of contribution be given by the concerned sportsperson from the prize money. The corpse is invested in a fund and the income earned from the fund be distributed to the eligible one
The Scheme should apply to those sports person/athlete who participate to represent India in events like Asiad, Olympic, common-wealth and national events like Ranji, Durund etc. and not to professionals like IPL, International competition like US open. because professional players do not require Pension as they earn a lot by commercials.
On 26-4-15 in his speech Maan Ki baat Respected PM Mr Narendra Damodardas Modi emphasized on MAYLA MATHE PE DHONA (carrying dirt on head). The phrase was headline in each and every NEWS of the day. Is He really concern about this and made provisions of reservation in LOK SABHA, RAJYA SABHA, STATE VIDHAN SABHA, MILITARY etc etc etc ...... Such reservations are in place in other aspects of life.
Respected PM Mr NARENDRA DAMODARDAS MODI SIR do you have explanation or just a speech.
Sir As a part of this scheme it can be made contributory also whereby sportspersons shall contribute a part of their remuneration during their active years.moreover a certain percentage of tickets sold in national as well as international matches can be earmarked for this.A certain cess introduced in sports goods shall go to welfare fund
Pension is a big support to those who are lost in the dark even after winning medal for country.pls include player performance from every sport for this we can panal of retired successful sportsman to have long and comprehensive view
A New Topic.Since the scheme will have huge financial implications,Sports Ministry can take the help of Director Pension Grievances Cell New Delhi.Regards...slakshmanrao3@gmail.com
Respected Sir , This is must ,,, c,, c ,,, c,, PT USHA Lost Olympic medal,,,hey y not she is Indian Girl kept Indian Flag in Final lap . No other persons cant do it world higher level ,,,we all told UP up Usha next was INDIA
sir, sportspersons are our countries proud. without expecting anything from anybody they are working hard. even our brave jawans are having a minimum guarantee of monthly salary and other perks. but sports persons? if they won gold then only they remember and honored . in international level a gold medal performance and those who missed the medal by 1?100th of seconds, efforts and hard work is same. but our country was never provide anything to such sports person. example. GREAT PT USHA ,milkha
The conceived idea of providing pension for those athletes/sportsperson is highly commendable. But the very idea of giving assistance/support for their living makes these talented pool become dormant. Hence some provisions should be drafted to utilize them for molding the young aspirants of the game.
