Draft guidelines for Skills Universities are formulated by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) in consultation with multiple stakeholders including Skills Universities. These are placed on the MSDE website for comments/ feedback.

Comments and suggestions may be sent at paritosh.gupta95@nic.in or submitted on MyGov.in by 21st October 2018.

National Policy for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship 2015 emphasized the importance of Skills Universities to be promoted either as de-novo institutions or as a part of existing university landscape. Further, in the wake of Skill India Mission, a number of universities with the nomenclature of “Skills Universities” have come up. However, they are following different norms and varying nomenclature for the degrees awarded, in the absence of common standards in the skills arena.

Skills based education differs from its general counterpart in terms of curriculum, pedagogy, faculty, mode of delivery, eligibility and assessment criteria, etc. and thus, would require a separate set of norms. The purpose of these guidelines is to lay down minimum norms for the establishment and functioning of Skills Universities to ensure adherence to minimum standards as India ventures into these new skilling avenues.

These guidelines do not intend to supersede the extant UGC norms regarding the regulation of higher education in India.

1. Basic formal education whether its gratuation or post graduation is not enough to get a decent job. Learning soft skill and computer training is not enough. It needs technical skill, analytical skill, or programming coding. It should be practised from the high school level. School and college syllabus should inclued that. 2. Women empowerment include women safety which we women have to learn. Any kind of martial art should be taught compulsorily in school for basic safety.

Respected My Government, thanks for such initiative. Sir, ITIs are hurdles between youths and skill, it requires high % in SSC HSC. Faculty are time Pass govt Employees. Age bar in admission keeps youth away from ITI. Highly discrimination in admission and fee for Open General Category youths. We were in hope with My Govt's Skill India, but it is also same. It gives admission to only Minority, SC, SC, OBC, Women and othe caste. There is no admission for Open General Category youth.Hell with us

Everyday 3 to 4 hours of quality training is more than enough.
Every professionals should train voluntarily in monthly basis.
Every industry experts should teach in the institute in free.
We are not lack of trainers but not allowing them to so so.

Dear sir,
Lack of coordinations among industry and educational institutions is a big problem.
No oppurtunity to learn fundamentals of skill in educational institute due to lack of qualified trainers not teachers who teach only a ,b,c,d....
Most of all not availabilty of skill training institute in a large size with employbility facility. No current ,latest technology taught. No relevant training at all is a big concern.most of the topics are outdated not need at all. Please do big .

Every organisation should adopt the nearby educational institute for skill training. After all we work there only so why not earlier to learn about the basics of the organizations ,company. They shoud allow every student for internships at their organizaions.
