One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

Dear PM,I recently been to DUBAI,I observed some points 1.cleanliness 2. Strict law for even minor crime, dubai rules because of law and order, here in india anyone can do rape and go away getting benefit of juvenile law or with minor punishment. 3.There has to be single law for everyone not on basis of religion 4.Cancel all cast/religion reservations 5.I went to one Gujarati hotel, they have to put photo of dubai's king instead ofgoddess, make compulsory to sing national anthem.

The quality of our education system in schools is deteriorating day by day. It is largely due to lack of interest of the meritorious to join as teachers. The government should develop a cadre system for the teachers of the primary and high school level to attract the meritorious.
1. They should be class two at the joining.
2. They should be given state respect at their cremation.
3. They should be given the highest salary.
4. I mean Jai Jaban, Jai Kishan and Jai Shikshyak.

All the times rules and regulations are in the consideration of the government.

In this century, the senior citizen, men and women should be at the equal stage so these all people can maintain their relation without any major problem.

At this time, new comer girl after marriage creates lots of problems by misusing laws in favor of ladies and criticizing parents, senior citizens and their properties.

In 2016-17, India's GDP is expected to score 121.65 lakh crore INR. In case of a political lock out for a single day, the nation as whole is losing 0.3342 lakh crore. The government should ban lock outs as a whole. The government can make it digital. A political party rather than going for lock outs would raise the issue on a digital platform. There can be digital poll to gauge the support for the issue. Accordingly, the government can develop the digital architecture.

Suggested that govt evolve some viable policy to manage the permanently dry cows after lactation. Half of the life span of a cow 10--12 years, it is permanently dry.It 'll not be productive any more. There must be national policy to manage these holy animals to prevent them from roaming abandoned and devastating the crops.Feeding and managing them for dung and urine alone is uneconomic and impractical proposition. These holy pests have become most serious problem for farmers .

I am a student of B.sc 2yr.I would lik 2 suggest dat,it should b made mandatory that any citizen of Bharat must not have children more than 2.because if dis decision is not taken into considration it will weaken india's strength,development,area,reputaton...
think dat if IND. population is 160cr by '50,will v have farms for cultivation, required quantity of resources, electricity, edibles, good health etc.countries lik China,Singapore, vietnam,UK,Iran hav 2 child policy & so look @ their development

OFFICERs of 21st century commissioned in Defence Forces are vibrant and enthusiast in serving the nation. OFFICERS having penchant for serving the nation through their creativity and ideas get a severe jolt when conditions of service don't allow them to do so wherein the talent which could used for citizens go waste. Therefore an easy way out Voluntary Retirement Scheme be opened for these OFFICERS who with least botheration may opt out giving to other citizens to enter defence forces.
