One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

Recently supreme court has given a verdict in a Civil appeal dairy no 3744 of 2016 that pay for MACP shall be applied from 1.1.2006 instead of 1.9.2008 as per the 6th PC and decision of the Gov.
There are many pensioners and employees who are also eligible to get this benefit. Therefore, DOPT have to grace fully act on the apex court decision and issue an amendment to the existing MACP OM instead of waiting employees/ pensioners/Unions making numerous representation/making a demand.

Banks should reduce the rate of interest for educational loan. It should be brought down to 5to6%. At present the car loan is less than the education loan. Education deserves more encouragement than having a luxury car.

Is SC/ST are the god or some god creatures so that all they deserve like free scholarship, books, free transport, education, cut offs etc. why only they deserve it why not General Poor has it.
1. Stop this caste gap.
2. provide scholarship based upon the income not on caste.
3. All should given equal rights like no difference of marks ie. in pepers like JEE, IAS, CAT etc
4. think everyone has equal. no st/sc,general, we are humans not sc/st/general.

Government may make it mandatory to use BAR CODE TECHNOLOGY, by incorporating suitable amendmends in GST Rules and Regulations, which will ensure quick, easy and accurate data processing. For promoting the use of this technology by SME Sector, the Govt. may also provide suitable subsidy/ relief in this regard.

Say we have a work in a government office. Why we need to go to every table/section? They will demand money or a letter from leaders or both. Further if they have discretionary/humanitarian way of dealing kind of powers, most will demand money? How a common man wastes money on journeys, food, lodges, and time on simple services but need to do kind. Hence there should be single window system in every office, an employee should take the responsibility of each work in total from start to finish.

Even if we have rental agreements on stamped papers,it is becoming tougher to collect rents or to vacate the tenants.Do we need to go to muscle men?Do we need to go to powerful persons in government. No one helps or may demand money for the service? There is no legal way as in USA,except to go to courts where it involve lot of money and takes years to get the justice? Please provide us legal ways in this issue to collect all dues,in short time, with less expenditure. Many disputes will disappear.
