One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

Respected MyGov
My view on new India should have :
1) One time tax deduction may be control through adhaar number on transaction or Income (multi-layer tax like Income tax then GST, Road tax...etc.etc. should not be applicable)
2) One time election
3) One law for all citizen
4) Concept of digital/plastic money
5) Special facility should provided to tax payer so that no. of tax payer will increases, govt may issue a ID card for tax payers.

In this country there is a separate queue for VIPs everywhere from Airports to Temple Darshans. Who are real VIPs to the Government? The people who contribute to it by paying Tax or those who are influenced and selected by top? I got a Bronze certificate for paying Tax this year, what is the use of it? Can I flash IT certificate at airport and access the VIP car parking? If only 1.5% people are paying tax then they are Very important for country! Make them VIPs and see how it will go up to 20%

Respected Sir,
As per new social system, Old Age People are feeling unsafe for their living. So I request to make a Government Body/Insurance Companies to give protection for living of old age people in their older age. e.g. if I pay at this age Rs 1000 per Month to a insurance company, so there should be a arrangement that after 60 age, Insurance Company should provide me a group living with nominal food and garments. Now a days all insurance companies are providing only Pension Scheme.

Dear Sir

Greetings!

My suggestion is regarding spiritual Gurus. I also believe in spirituality but my only concern is; in the name of spirituality, sometimes people are being made fool. A large number of people follow them and stay in their ashrams. So there should be some laws to check what they are doing there/ Aren’t they being exploited there physically/spiritually/ mentally/financially.

Prevention is always better than cure. So there must be some check over these issues.
