Festivals contribute immensely to feelings of social cohesion. Many such celebrations focus on cultural or ethnic topics and seek to inform community members of their traditions. They involve community elders sharing stories and experiences; setting templates for maintaining unity among families. To begin the awareness we must start right from the root level. By root level I mean Schools. (A)Our textbooks must mention these festivals. ( B) The schools and colleges should celebrate or at least talk about these festivals. (C) Students must be asked to research and come up with creative ideas.(D) History and significance of these festivals must be explained to the students.(E) The Government must put hoardings of these festivals in public places.(F) Fairs should be organised by Government to highlight these festivals.

India fairs, culture festivals are highly governed by our existing and ancient Dharmik everyday activities eg puja, path , Utsav, Vrat and much more and is well documented in every epic literature eg Ramayan, Mahabharat, Gita, Purans, Sahita, Shastra , Veda etc. Idea and suggestion is to create a group to retrieve all such events from literature and upload on website to reach masses in India and also to global community.

Now, people are busy by wasting their time on social media and just making various excuses by saying 'time nahi hai'. These story-telling traditions will vanish one day. Instead of copying foreign culture we should try to read about such traditions and also promote its values among upcoming generation. Our country is full of variety of Literature, Art and creativity. Just read about such traditions in your free time and realise it's importance too.
