The existing provision on Tax Deducted at Source on interest paid by co-operative banks particularly to housing co-operative societies is causing hardship and does not add to revenue, as section 80P deduction is available to them and substantial money is blocked, significant overheads are spent to deduct such TDS, monitoring its compliance and refund of the same. May I request Hon. Finance Minister to exempt interest payments by co-operative banks to housing co-operative societies from TDS.

Sir, Govt use to give interest subsidy on an Educational Loan .. However, in this regard RBI has issued circular in the year 2002 and then the upper income limit for education subsidy of Rs. 4.50 lacs is not changed since 2002. Govt has now defined Economically Backward with Income of Rs. 8.00 Lacs ... and also reserved some seats in Education ... If the Economically Backward is having 8 lac pa income ... then how the person with income above 4.5 lacs and below 8 lac is Higher Income Group.

Respected Modi Ji,
You are requested that in this "Man Ki Baat" you talk about the tension between the doctors and the general public. It should not be seen on the issue of West Bengal only because it has happened many times across the country when doctors have been beaten by some people and due to negligence of doctors many patients died . Both situations are not good for country and for their common man.
