The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

The last date of submission is August 5, 2021.

Hon. Prime Minister namasteji. The draft drone rule is too much to read eloborately explained the rules 2021 and the USA draft rule 2021. It is not clear to understand whether the drone operation is for student only or to the public. Anyhow it is to be welcomed for the modern eco system development and very much useful for the agricultire development purpose. The licensing method should be strictly followed without any reservation or political interference. Then only the purpose will be success.

Drones are use for various purposes for our young Indian Generation. Hence, this should be taken in mind. Its use can be safeguarded with easily acessible license for the operators. In this way, it will be safe and also hassle free for the users. The height limit of 15m should also be removed as soon as the user obtains a license.

I think drones should not allowed to be sold privately like on online apps Amazon or Flipkart

Although Section 8 restrict Importation of drone, but no provision made for those drones which illegally enters in Indian territory.
