Tribal students should be provided with a free trip to every state in India every three months. This will give them more ideas and confidence.
Tribal communities form an integral part of India’s social and cultural fabric. As the nation moves towards the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, it is essential to recognize the vital role that tribal populations play in this journey. Their inclusion and empowerment are not just matters of equity but key drivers of sustainable and inclusive development.
Tribal people have long been the guardians of India’s forests, natural resources, and biodiversity. Their traditional knowledge systems promote sustainable living and environmental balance—values that align perfectly with the goals of a developed and green India. Their deep connection with nature and their organic way of life serve as an example for modern society in embracing eco-friendly practices.
Indian tribal knowledge systems are living libraries of ecological wisdom, much like Baya weaver birds—remarkably self-reliant, they acquire essential skills on their own, drawing from their environment rather than formal instruction. Just as the Baya weaver instinctively crafts intricate nests using only natural materials, tribal communities too possess an innate ability to survive, thrive, and live in harmony with nature, adapting seamlessly to their surroundings through generations of accumulated wisdom and observation.
India stands at a crossroads of climate urgency, cultural erosion, and developmental imbalance. Tribal communities offer a blueprint for balance, sustainability, and inclusive growth. Recognizing, respecting, and partnering with them is not only a matter of justice—it is a strategic imperative for India’s future.
The central government should implement training schemes for trainers working in institutions providing training for tribal industries.
The role of training institutions will be important in introducing innovation in tribal products.
Incentives should be increased for institutions providing training in tribal industries.
Many animal-related products are illegal under the current law and should be replaced by synthetic products and training should be provided for this.
The contribution of training institutions is necessary to bring about changes in many tribal professions in line with the times.
Modernity with tradition is for development.
The role of tribals in the development of the country will definitely be there in the future.
The cultural rights of the tribals should be protected. A way of life that does not harm any party should be recognized. The government should not interfere in the civil rights of the tribals.
The trend of destroying individual identities should be changed. Religious conversions should be banned. Many communities make alcohol from ingredients found in the hills. This is illegal in many states.
The necessary framework should be provided to regularize their business. It is not appropriate for the government to prohibit it. The same opportunities given to large industrial companies should be given to small-scale businesses as well. Mistakes happen because of not providing proper permission.Food-based tribal businesses should be included in the MSME list. The benefits of registering any business should be highlighted.
