Birsa Munda was a folk hero and a tribal freedom fighter hailing from the Munda tribe.He was born15 Nov 1875Ranchi(Jharkhand). He was a spearhead behind the Millenarian movement that arose in the Bihar and Jharkhand belt in the early 19th century under the British colonisation.

Ramadevi Acharya
Freedom fighter Smt. Ramadevi Acharya’s grandmother was Smt. Gopidevi, her father was Shri Jai narayan Vyas and her mother was named Smt. Gorja Devi. She was born in a family of freedom fighters. While her father was behind the bars, she was assigned the task of bringing the news from the jail at 4 a.m. on a regular basis. She actively participated in the Quit India Movement, 1942 . Due to her activities she had to face the enmity of the Thakurs, but for the sake of the nation.
Lakshmi Sahgal
Captain Lakshmi was an officer in the Indian Army who also served in World War II. She also served time as a prisoner in Burma, now Myanmar.
When Sahgal heard that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was building an army of women soldiers, she enlisted herself. She was directed by the high command to form a female regiment called 'Rani of Jhansi regiment, where she was appointed as a Captain.
Rani Gaidinliu
Rani Gaidinliu was a Naga spiritualist who revolted against the British rule in India and was also strongly against converting Naga religious practitioners into Christianity. At the age of 13, she initiated the Heraka movement to drive the British away from Manipur. She got arrested at the age of 16 and was put into life imprisonment by the British. Five years later, Nehru promised to get her out and gave her the title ‘Rani’. She was released after 10 years
India’s Independence has seen the blood of millions of natives who came out to fight the British rule and gave their lives to break the shackles of oppression. Even though we know a lot of names of these brave people, there are a few names which got lost over the years.
While we all know how Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Rani Laxmibai and Subhas Chandra Bose paved the way for India’s Independence, there are several others who were equally valorous freedom fighters.
Kamala devi chattopadhyay
Kamala devi chattopadhyay also known as hathkarga maa as she wanted to reform the society by reconstructing indian handicraft, handling, and theatre. She fought fearlessly for the upliftment of backward and poor sections of society . She was also an active leader in the non cooperation movement started by mahatma Gandhi. She had also been honoured by awards in various ceremonies padma bhushan and padma vibhusan . A tribute to her great efforts and designations .
