Salem, the fifth largest city in Tamil Nadu is also known as ‘Steel City’. Salem city has been selected as one of the smart cities under the ministry of Urban development, ...
Salem need a good bus and rail connectivity to all the near by cities the central bus terminus must be expanded to handle the huge buses coming to Salem and new bus terminus must be constructed around the cities to form a town bus connectivity with cental bus stand ,existing town bus terminus can be used for mini buses.Rail yard must be created in salem junction and airport must be used with good flight timing
Salem has lot of natural resources, steel industry SAIL,JSW,magnesite at TANMAG,largest producer of agriculture SAGO product, many industries, textile mills, ornament manufacturing, jewellery, silk, agriculture etc. Salem is centrally located easy access from all over south India, Salem railway is one of the main junction for south india, non-functional airport, under development IT park. Having such wonderful resources, lack of infrastructure is main problem. Salem needs smart city to progress.
first of all there is no proper road facility in salem.i request some official to take a ride on 2wheeler inside salem to know about our feeling.even roads in villages are much better than roads inside salem. lay roads properly, and arange regular water supply for home needs .
there should be more car parking lots in all places. roads should be wide.airport should function. more flyovers should come. we need roads should be properly laid with periodic maintenence.
1. Install free toilets in and around the city
2. Ban plastic covers
3. We must maintain our public place neat and clean. See central bus stand, how garbages are dumbed and how people peeing on the road side
4. There should be proper drainage system especially near TMS-2nd Agraharam junction
5. Roads should be laid properly
6. We must have a separate bus stand near seelanaikanpatty byepass
7. Proper traffic management
8. Roads should be expanded property mainly near shevapet,Agraharam
Salem is the city which is surrounded by Hills, Salem is a transportation headquaters for bus in TamilNadu which covers four districts TNSTC-salem and Salem is railway divisional headquarters southern railway which having nearly 800 kms, steel plant the major disadvantage of this city is Airlink the airport is closed for nearly 5 years no services. salem city needs to have industrial centres and IT park which is main concern. and transportation within the city.
A city is not smart until it manages its waste well. Waste management process should be decentralised and locality based, quick and real time. It is surprising to note that 70% of waste is organic in nature & can be reprocessed before it becomes waste or, thereafter, can be recycled in a sustainable manner. We have invented a Green Waste Reprocessor machine which re‐process all green reject and converts it into valuable by‐products. More details can be found on www.cleanindiatech.com #MyGov
1.Enhancement & better improvement is required in Sports for #SALEM SPORT S ASSOCIATION inorder to bring grass-level roots for cricket, kabaddi, badminton, basketball, for all talented young-buds
2.Need World class international Cricket Gandhi-Stadium
3.More Implementation & Improvement in the field of #IT Sectors & #INDUSTRIAL Sectors is highly essential & needed
4.Free wi-fi system allaround
5.Agreegate only Zero-level discharge Industries inorder to enhance eco-friendly & cleanly environment
Its HARD to plant trees , and harder to maintain them, check out #TreePlantation and #Clean drives of #AISEC at https://www.facebook.com/environmentalsociety.org , We need you support to carry forward this noble cause , Please Don't ignore.
Along with development of old cities into a smart city there is also the need of hours to develop and adopt a model code for development of new cities Pan India for continuous pace of Smart Development.
