Naya Raipur is participating in the third round of Smart City Challenge. For the Smart Cities Challenge, the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) has enlisted 24 core or essential elements which every smart city proposal have to touch upon. These 24 essential elements encapsulate almost each and every aspect of urban ecosystem. Features such as Citizen Participation, Heritage & Culture, and current status of mobility, water management, energy source and supply, economic status of the city are few of the major component which constitutes the 24 essential elements.

The 24 elements are as follows -: Citizen Participation, Identity & Culture, Economy & Employment, Education, Health, Mixed Use, Compactness, Public Open Spaces, Housing & Inclusiveness, Transport, Walkable, IT Connectivity, ICT Enabled Government Services, Energy Supply, Energy Source, Water Supply, Water Management, Waste Water Management, Air-Quality, Energy Efficiency, Underground Electric Wiring, Sanitation, Waste Management, Safety & Security

All the above mentioned elements touch each and every citizen’s life one way or the other, and in order to improve the condition of the city, it is imperative to improve each and every element mentioned above. Also to improve these elements we have to first identify the present scenario of these elements. What is the present condition of economic, social and environmental infrastructure of the city? Once we get the present situation, we can thrive for improving them.

Thus we would request all the stakeholders, viz. citizens, NRDA office bearers, prominent personalities to come up with their view on the current situation of the city on the above mentioned 24 elements. We would also request people to share their view what they want their city to be in near future as far as these elements are concerned.

The Government can make a Floating Hotel in Lake for Tourist and Local Citizen. Floating Hotel will be attraction for Tourist and will boost Tourism. The hotel should have Green house technology and should be solar powered. The tourist can reach using LPG operated Motor Boat. Even Floating Fountain can be installed in Lake and can be illuminated with colourful light the lake should be surrounded by compound and can be decorated with LED lights and can have jogging track.

Smart city should have smart building, Complex & smart infrastructures. The energy should be provided form geothermal power from which is renewal energy from earth. All the flats should be connected with optic fiber & with internet connection & should be interlinked with each flat with video door camera. Waste should be collected by underground gas system. The Smart city should have Parking Tower it should be constructed by using new technology it will resolve the parking problem for city, Junctions. Even it can have Car Wash System and Maintenance Department for Cars. The Smart city should have smart connection. Smarty city should be connected to daily commuters, Tourist, Railways, Public safety authorities, shipping ports, Airport, Freight carriers and to government dept.. If all this get connected it will make the city more safer, efficient and more mobile world. With leading technology you will connect the machine. The place can be called city only when people leave there which I do not think affordable to Aam Insaan me. People like me can only roam around in the road but buy piece of land is not in reach. I can praise the infrastructure are being built.
1. The road infrustructure in Naya raipur excellent. I would suggest all signals should be traffic police less.
2. Have more greenery in place.
3. Avoid Concrete jungles all around to make possible water to leach in so that water table is in reach.

Dear sir ,
As i am living in dubai which is hitech and fully smart city .

What i observed here i am writing so that naya raipur will be more smart city
1. For any online or internet related work we reuired high level of internet speed infrastructure.
2.road and traffic sign should pe placed in all the road . Vechile speed montiroing radar also installed on the road to avoid the accedent.
3.make raipur an international air port direct flight from raipur to Dubai .
