Conventional education alone cannot meet the needs and aspiration of higher education. What proactive policies and strategies need to be devised and developed to encourage online ...
This is bring kind notice of Minister, that in Ooen and Distance learning I personally know atleast 10 people from Delhi University who have appeared for all the papers and was not able to clear one paper. He was not able to get any degree from Institution. Now they are simply high school pass! Is there any orovision to grant diploma or conditional degree to these individuals?
Can India Govt take challenge to provide Engg study at free of cost for rich and poor equally? The Govt is planning to open up more IITS at the cost of tax being paid by the poor for their daily living means of wheat, pulse and salt. Does the Govt really concern about providing education to poor class. The Institution of Engineers India AMIE Degree is well recognized over 120 years and those engrs built this nation, with drawing a piece of paper "approval"will not harm the knowledge of AMIANs
Lakhs of diploma students career depends on AMIE(The Institute Of Engineers). The institute has tremendous effort to develop the skill of diploma holder those are engaged in nation development,i.e. whether running Trains, building and maintaining rail, bridges ,airports seaports, building dams, roads , power plants, Irrigation works, Military Engineering service, Border Roads and also private sectors. My request to governmnet is not to scrap the AMIE degree.
The Institution of Engineers India has done a commendable job in Skill Development of Lakhs of Diploma Engineers who have contributed to nation building ,whether running Trains, building and maintaining rail, bridges ,airports seaports, building dams, roads , power plants, Irrigation works, Military Engineering service, Border Roads Diploma Engineers are everywhere. Government and Institution of Engineers-India need to Partner to Strengthen IEI and make it an Institution of National Importance
Any Institute giving opportunity for Higher education should not be banned or closed .On the contrary this Institution should be improved and developed .The IEI India is also working for Higher education science independence for giving AMIE degree but last Government was interested in closing to it. There may be interest of private Engineering collage lobby to interrupt for those who are taking education cheaply by doing their services and hard work. Government should think and improve to IEI
Is our education system evangelising education for the rich who get into regular colleges by any means and deprive the capabale but financily weak people who can add value and work hard to study AMIE.
think of people who aspire to be Engineers but they are fianancially weak. To earn their living and run the family they have to work somwhere. They neither have the financial position nor have the luxury to study 4 years regular degree course from engineering colleges even they are capable of. Every day for him is a struggle for existence. THE INSITUTION OF ENGINEERS have created this facility for those working people to become engineers to serve the country. Are we shutting d doors FOR THEM
If Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy and Company Secretary courses which are in the non formal mode are encouraged by the government and considered as Master Level courses by many Universities ,why discriminate and derecognise AMIE. government can give directions and guidelines for improvement of AMIE than derecognising AMIE thus hindering skill development of Diploma Engineers ,why close an established system while the country is struggling to skill its citizens, request reconsideration
One lecturer can teach 50 students in a regular class, while his class can be telecast to 5 Lakh students at the same time. This is the impact of online education. Top universities world over are offering Bachelors and Masters in Engineering through distance education. Why we should deprive our citizens of the same. We don't need new universities,IIM,IIT's ,we need that investment to be made in Online learning so that it will reach the masses as the future is only open and distance learning
Congratulations to the Government,IITs and IISC for the great work they done in preparing high quality content for Engineering courses in the website http://nptel.ac.in, but this valuable resource needs to be used for Skill Development of Diploma Engineers to upgrade to Engineering Degree after passing relevant courses. Request the Government/UGC/AICTE for fast Guidelines as the MHRD has closed down all online/distance engineering Degree courses like IGNOU B.TECH without providing alternatives
