There has been a growing concern on the poor performance of our Universities in World Ranking and Global ratings. What changes could be suggested in the accreditation systems of ...
My ideas for maintaining peaceful atmosphere in the campus is given as pdf
There are a minimum if 1000- 2000 students are studying in each colleges with 2 or 3 working toilets and 40 - 45 minutes interval for lunch. Imagine the health condition of the graduates after three years in these colleges. Please provide ONE CLEAN / WORKING TOILET for at least 100 students. Please make it one of the criteria for ranking institutions. Student committee were formed under the guidance senior teacher to inspect regularly & to take necessary measures.

As there is already an autonomous institution in form of NAAC under UGC which is giving accreditation to the institutes in higher studies in India.but it seen that even our Universities getting "A" grade from NAAC doesn"t stands in world ranking or Global ratings. We need to follow the world parameters of accreditions to the universities like Oxford,Cambridge,Harvard,Standford,& MIT in India also.Secondly my submission is overhauling of NAAC is the need of an hour by the government or replacement
I wish to suggest few changes in migrating from school education to higher education through my blog https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/story-indian-engineer-deepak-agrawal.
The ranking should not be based on luck. To many parameters confuse.
For ranking institutes for their BTech / BE programmes, it may simply based on the 'Total GATE score obtained by the student of the institute divided by number of students studying in the institute'.
For ranking institutes for their ME or MTech programmes, another national level exam (like GATE) may conducted and a equation similar to the one given for BE or BTech may be used.
Ranks should be given to all higher education institutions in India collectively and also under various groups ie Universities,IIT,IIM,2b/2f Colleges etc. This kind of ranking system will increase healthy competition amoung institutions.
Get our degrees like MD & MS duely recognized in other countries as equivalent to PhDs/MRCP done in foreign countries!
Ranking should be based on -
1) Reseach scholar and researches done
2) Teacher to student ratio
3) Number of patents done by a institute (As patent ratio in india is very poor)
4) No of Industry oriented projects and Phd works
5) New technological developments
There is need to promote research in technical education and discourage jobs in cross domain. (B.tech in Civil, Mechanical is doing job IT,Foreign Banks which is misappropriation of tax payers money)
For engineering institutes like IITs, NITs:-
1) Funding should be done on the basis of enrolled Phd and M.Tech students to promote R & D in India which is need of hour to become Developed india.
2) R&D should be based on current issues of country or society rathers than hypothecial thesis Ex- Green energy and household appliances, Solar appliance at low cost, lost cost water treatment, Cleaning Ganga....
3) Fund allocated to IITs, NITs for project should be monitored .
