The strings of India's development have been inseparably attached to the success of its Textiles sector. The industry's symbiotic relationship with agriculture widens the range of beneficiaries.

•4.5 crore people are directly employed while another 6 crores are indirectly in this sector with a considerable stake of women and rural population.

•5% of the global trade in textiles and apparel is to India's credit.

•India's centuries-old knowledge and expertise in this sector have positioned it as the world's 2nd largest manufacturer and exporter with a 12% share in total exports (2018-19).

And now we, at the Textiles Ministry have our sights set on achieving global leader status for India. Government under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has been pushing for innovation and incentives to realise the mission of Aatmanirbhar Bharat by bolstering exports, quality & productivity, competitiveness, technology up-gradation, research & development, and training & skill development in this industry.

Now, we are keen to listen to the suggestions of Industry experts, innovators, students, business leaders, and all other contributors to this sector to expedite our mission. As we mark the 75th year of India's Independence, we want you to have an increased stake in the success of the Textiles industry.

The last date to share your ideas and suggestions is 15th August 2021.

RESPECTED PM SIR, we all know that our country is well known for the culture and traditions, so we just need to support our traditional clothing which are vibrant for centuries, like kadhi , cotton etc... mainly we should focus on the lower textile sectors because, they should follow the perfection in any stage of production more than focusing on the profits..... PERFECTION SHOULD ALWAYS VIBRANT AND ROBUST FOREVER......Thank you 🙏

Today's market is dependable up on brands. specially our youngsters likes only international brands such as Levi's, wrangler, u.s polo...etc.
there is very few brands like being human, hrx.
we have to promote our textile industry with national and international ambassadors.
at same time we have resolve all problems of textile industry starting with basic needs.

Fashion designing is okay!
boutique is fine!
but the tailoring unit is super good as always.. They are good in their journey of stitching and they only ask for money which is affordable. So, we people shoukd trust the middle class stitching people to design our dress. They are never low compared to fashion designers!
agree?
