The Finance Minister in his budget speech for the Union Budget 2015-16 made the following announcement: “India is one of the largest consumers of gold in the world and imports as ...
This fits in so well in the Make in India campaign started by our PM but no concrete thing done so far. Why do we have to wait for so long to do business in our country when file just goes from one place to another. This is inspite of the project being monitored by the PMO directly.
When govt want to reduce CAD by offering this wonderful scheme why don’t we think of mining gold from our own country. It has been proved there is ample gold in places like Karnataka, mainly in Ganajur and Hutti..A private company which has filed for mining license is waiting endlessly since 2010..
Also private refineries should also be given equal chance to refine gold instead of only giving it to govt owned refineries. In this way it will create equal job opportunities in all states and refinery people would benefit. Mostly refineries are not running to full capacity at the moment..
Scheme offered by govt is good and in right direction to reduce CAD but it will be a hit only if interest offered is above 6%..Also households will not give away their gold as its in ornament form and they will not like to melt the same away..Gold which will come will be through temples trust and people who want to convert their black money..in a way its good it will take out all the black money in the system..
Dear Sir,
Wish to share feedback on behalf of Catholic Syrian Bank Limited.

Gold ornament give on rental basis. new gold ornament give on a rent basis , For the security of new gold ornaments our government can collect old gold ornaments, cash, cheque etc for a particular period. Indians are very passion to wear variety of gold ornaments. so they purchase gold and stock it. if it get in market on a less price all time if they want . gold rental scheme is very useful to our country
THE IDEA IS VERY GOOD, THIS WILL HELP THE PEOPLE TO MAKE USE OF THE THE IDEAL STOCKS OF GOLD LYING WITH THEM....EVEN A MIDDLE CLASS PERSON WILL GET HELP OUT OF THE SCHEME...
indians are using more gold ornaments than any other country. govt please start the gold ornaments to give on a rental basis. it helps to reduce import the gold. rental scheme also help to wear variety gold ornaments to common people. the rent system can also earn profit more . it can be through all trusts, temples, churches, mosques, banks etc.
Gold Monitization Scheme, surely, stemed from the innovative idea that the huge amount of gold stashed in the cup-boards and almirahas of the in tge country should be put to innovative use..
I strongly feel that allowing banks to place gold as reserves will defeat the main objective of import reduction. Gold will just move from private hands to RBI. Any requirement will still have to be imported.
