Amritsar - ‘The Holy City of India’ has been selected among 3 cities for implementing Smart City project in Punjab and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant citizens of Amritsar are requested to post their views pertaining to municipal and city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, waste management, transport, parking, energy,housing, IT solutions,safety and security.

Residents are encouraged to give their ideas and suggestions at city level as well as local area level solutions in Amritsar.

Let us join hands together in making Amritsar a global Smart City!

for making Amritsar a smart city We need to work on Following things
1.go green go clean
2.P{lant more and more trees.
3.cctv Cameras on highways and main signals.

I Believe that these changes will bring in Noticeable Change in the city and are easy to implement !
1) Wifi hotspots at road signals !
2)Noise level monitoring devices at signals and hsg societies.
3)A separate building for fruits and vegetable vendors, on rental. No street side selling should be allowed.
4) Perfect levelling of roads during repair work as this is the first impression of the city !

waste reduction and recycling measures should be taken and at the same time city people should be made aware of these programs by arranging seminars
