Aurangabad, a City situated in Maharashtra stands at the confluence of Ancient Cultural Heritage and Rapid Modernization. Aurangabad, One of the largest urban agglomerates in the ...
A Smart City is more than a digital city. A Smart City is one that is able to link physical capital with social one, and to develop better services and infrastructures. It is able to bring together technology, information, and political vision, into a coherent programme of urban and service improvements.
Smart City is performing in six characteristics:
- Smart Economy
- Smart Mobility
- Smart Environment
- Smart People
- Smart Living
- Smart Gover
My points for Smart city.
Public information, grievance redressal, electronic service delivery, citizens’ engagement, waste to energy & fuel, waste to compost, 100% treatment of waste water, smart meters & management, monitoring water quality, renewable source of energy, efficient energy and green building, smart parking, intelligent traffic management system.
I have read in Maharashtra Times Newspaper dt. 03/11/2015 that PMC has prepared devlopment plan of space of around 50 acres of NTC mill and MSRTC. In which they have reserved space for Garden, Bustand , Offices, Swimming Pool, Office Complex, Sports Complex,Hotels etc. Very Good Plan which should be implemented at the earliest so that, that locality will be devloped and a good step to make our Aurangabad City as a Smart City. All the Best to PMC for its Project.
Public transport need improvement with additional AMT routes with good frequency on demanding corridors.
The way city roads are concretised is horrible..with bare involvement of utility agencies and AMC. There should be involvement of all concerned parties. Otherwise money spending will be waste.
Involvement of People is very necessary to become smart city.it will also increase employment for youth.Roads and traffic issues should be solved.
In Aurangabad one of the best place for smart city is NTC Mill & Bus Stand area as well as Sidharth Udyaan Area. Go immediately for develop the area under Smart City on priority.
There should need to stop interface of politics in devlopment work
we should learn from Mumbai
but the irony is, if this system is implemented in Aurangabad and the culprit is sent to custody, we'll run out of the no of jails....!!!!!!
Aurangabad city is one of the fastest growing cities in Asia and has emerged as a major industrial and IT hub.
