The city of Davanagere is located at a distance of about 260 km from the state capital of Bangalore. It is nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats. Previously known for its cotton mills, it is a fast developing city of Karnataka. The arid town was once a thriving textile center. This place is also called as 'Manchester of Karnataka' or textile capital of South India.

Davanagere City Municpal Council came into existence on 7th Aug, 1951. Later it is upgraded as Davanagere City Corporation on 6th Jan, 2007. Presently it has jurisdiction over an area of 68.63 Sq. Kms with over 1.5 lakh properties. Davanagere City Corporation is situated at the P B Road, opposite to City Railway Station, Davanagere.

For its governance, the Davanagere City Corporation is divided into 41 wards, each represented by a Corporator. The Corporators elect the Mayor, who is the administrator of the City and serves office for a term of one year. The administration of the Corporation is vested in the Commissioner, who is designated by the State Government.

1.Widening of Nittuvalli main road.
2 City should be Pig free.
4Garbage & Sewage drain cleaning should be done daily
5Roads should be dust free & pollution free.
6Plant trees either side of d road
7Need to be upgrade Govt hospital facilities
8Need to be start industries
9Ashoka theatre fly over & Ring road to be completed need fly over/bridge in Vidyarthi bhavan signal
10.Road, water supply & drainage should be provided to new areas
11. Need of Good Quality Govt canteens in less price

1.Make Davanagere as 'Dust free city'
2.Make fine roads to connect surrounding villages and near by cities.
3.Try to provide atleast 80% power and Water supply every year.
4.Wide roads with proper footpaths

Please do above basic facilities first.Later we can think of making Davanagere as smart city.

We need right measures to be taken in the area of right diagnosing at hospitals by the doctors, as we people over here are not able get the right medication for the acquired disorders...
as it is the issue of public health serious act must be taken for wrong medication leading to imbalance of one's health .
i do think this is the most basic problem every citizen over here facing everyday..!!!!!
one of the basic essentials of any smart city is good healthcare centres 24*7.
