My continuation: The bad odour should be removed at any cost. (D)Tree planting: once upon a time there was an area called ''veppan thoppu street'' means a lot of neem trees were there on either side. Now, nobody knows their whereabouts and the street is
now called as palani Road. so a lot of neem trees should be planted wherever possible.

I am a resident of Dindigul since 1954.I would like to place some suggestions for Dindigul to become much smarter. (A).cleanleness - The garbage lying on the roads should be removed immediately and on daily basis. (B). Drinking water supply - The corporation should ensure atleast five hours water supply daily to Dindigul. (C) Removal of bad odour - one, who enters from Madurai Side or from Batlagundu side, has to close his nose because of bad odour prevailing on both sides because of tanneries

Existing government schemes/ programmes may be converged to make Dindigul Corporation as Smart City.
To conclude, SMART CITY PROJECT requires thorough analysis of geodatabase for plan formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation; which are possible only with a GIS, satellite data etc.

I fell proud to inform you that I reside close to Dindigul Corporation at Gandhigram since 1983. I wish to state a few points for your kind consideration based on my experience and observation.
Improvement of Water Supply
This requires objective estimation of demand and supply. Some of the areas which are located at an elevated place have to be identified through “Elevation Studies using GIS/Satellite Images’ to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply.

In respect to smart city concept, business, economic, infrastructure development are OK, but, the real development of social harmony, human development, cultural development, etc.things are very important for peace, harmony and fruitfull helping nature of people. For that, there should be YOGA,SPIRITUAL,PRAYER CENTRE in CITY.There should be no crime & no accused,Jail should be paid & luxurious with all accommodation like AC,bed-sofa,pure bhojan-breakfast,TV but no mobile-net as per jail manual strictly
