Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, in Karnataka State has been selected by the Ministry of Urban Development as one of the 100 smart cities to participate in the “Smart ...
Hublli-Dharwad city is in the middle of North Karnataka.Allthe North Karnataka people depend on Hubli-Dharwad for all the activities like education,Commerce and is also treatment and improvement centre for mentally disabled persons;mainly mentally retarded children. If the city Hublli-Dharwad becomes Smart City ,it helps all the North Karnataka People. But the city is not clean enough. There is no efficient garbage collection, disposal and treatment occuring here.
1. Focusing on Non-Renewable Energy Source like Solar.
2. Underground Cables for Electricity, Telephone. Replace all Overhead lines.
3. Underground Gas pipelines.
4. Green & Clean city movement- Beautification of City by developing parks, planting Trees across all major lanes.
5. E-Governance: All the queries/concerns of public should be addressed online with quick & simple access.
6. Smart Waste-Sewage Management.
7. Infrastructure development- Upgrade/Widen roads
8. 24/7 Water Supply.
I would like to see the following changes in Hubballi-Dharwad as a smart city
1. Proper roads with footpath, one way roads, double roads, parking space (patch work will spoil the roads in few months). Implementation of strict traffic rules and signals.
2. Littering should be stopped and punishment for those who continues still.
3. Systematic management of drainage and garbage collection.
4. Implementation of e-service for the transparency in the work.
5. Development in IT field.
Bullet Train Connecting Mumbai and Bengaluru via Belagavi, Hubballi, Davengere
5. 24/7 drinking water facility to be extended to all wards.
6. Multi-level parking facilities should be arranged at busy junctions.
7. Concretization of roads with heavy traffic and good lane markings, it'll create lane discipline among on goers.
8. Flyovers from Hosur to KC circle, station road to CBT.
9. Energy efficient street lighting using LED lights with Solar power having sensor based ON/OFF controls.
10. Landscaping and Trees should be planted which helps in reducing dust levels.
Hi all.. Some suggestions to make Hubli-Dharwad a Smart city.
1. All major roads should be at least 4 laned priority wise with broad footpaths and Cycle lanes if necessary.
2. Underground cabling to be executed, it'll add beauty to the city.
3. Ring road should be planned and executed as soon as possible , it'll help decongestant city.
4. An efficient Solid waste management with door to door garbage collection and scientific disposal of the same.
solar panel manufacturing factory of about 200-500 acre land
1.Constructing roof throughout the flyover in such a way that enough of natural light enter the road during the day. On the roof of flyover solar panel has to be installed to generate electricity. Energy harvesting from road thus forming a local grid
2.Scientific management of pothole refilling as shown in video
Smart city for HD:
1. Mainly providing facilities and pay for govt employees like POLICE, CITY SURVEY, CORPORATION, CITY DEVELOPMENT BOARD so that they do not expect bribe and and not between city development.
2. Should have proper roads, flyover.
3. Proper rehabilitation colony for under privileged with proper basic amenities , road, sanitation, drainage, and ethics.
4. Proper accounting system where all transactions is paperless and cashless, and no tax so that black money is stopped
For Hubballi-Dharwad city to be considered as 'Smart', the following requirements have to be strictly met.
1. Proper/Smart Parking System. - [Priority: HIGH]
2. Arrange faster transport for travelling between Hubballi & Dharwad. - [Priority: MED]
3. Proper Waste Management WITH PLANNING (Unlike Bangalore). - [Priority: HIGH]
4. Find effective means to convert the image of Policemen from 'Threat' to 'Secure'. - [Priority: MED]
