Smart City Thanjavur

Start Date :
Sep 30, 2015
Last Date :
Dec 03, 2015
00:00 AM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
Thanjavur City located in the central part of Tamil Nadu is famous for its culture and architecture. The City has been short listed by Ministry of Urban Development as one of the ...
Govt can do few things, build check dams, solar panels on the roof top of all Govt buildings to generate power, just a thought similar to public parks we can have public ponds that can collect water in those areas on rainy season thus we can recharge the ground water. It will solve water scarcity unnecessarily letting the excess water into sea and then spending 800-1000 rupees for water tankers is a waste of money / foreign exchange (Fuel expense) so please consider.
Please view the attached pdf for my suggestions
Thanjavur corporation should go smart at the same time, Safer, cleaner, green and energy efficient.
My point over smart city would be.
1. Direct water connection for every house hold in the city corporation limits.
2. Expansion of under ground drainage system to the corporation limits.
The on going expansion from thanjavur to nagapattinam many trees older than 150 years have been cut they could have avoided cutting and made that as land divider. so totally median and 2 lane dividers could have been done but they cut so many trees. too bad
1. There is no subway in thanjavur near the old bus stand 2. The bus quality is poor and old buses are used 3. no share autos for easy movement 4. Lack of FOB from thanjavur railway station to other side 5. Lack of FOB or subway near old bus stand for easy movement 6. No trees planted on thanjavur - trichy highway only small shrubs are there but big trees were removed during development 7. Trees of mango, jackfruit, coconut must line the highways for farmers to pluck and sell.
1
1)to plant more tree in road side.
2)electric faciliy in proper way.
3) clean the water drinage and surrounding also.
4)to improve education many activity in thajvuar.
5) to improve the tourist place also
6) to improve the company, business etc
1) under ground electric cable in the city limit
2) plant more trees to gain more rainfall.
3) roadside strom water drainage with proper routing to ponds/lakes.
4) keeping the environmnet clean by anymeans
5) city to harvest rainwater properly to cobtribute back to agriculture by increasing ground water level.
6) build communication and infrastructure such as high speed internet / fiber optic / speedy transport to attract startup companies to improve employmnet rate.
Along with development of old cities into a smart city there is also the need of hours to develop and adopt a model code for development of new cities Pan India for continuous pace of Smart Development.
1.Roads widening with pavements and street lights and plants
2.electrification in routeschennai- villupuram-(ariyalur)-(kumbakonam)-thanjavur-trichy
3.domestic airport with daily service from Chennai,Delhi
4.electrical transmission lines should be underlaid
5.drinking water, sewage systems should be structured well.
6.CCTV all over the city.
7.Not to approve agricultural lands for plots.
8.NH 45C should be completed.
9.measures to announce big temple as world wonders10.local buses in good
