The first step to making Vellore smart would be to ensure safe roads, clean environment, regulated traffic, green spaces, ambulance service, emergency care , water and rain harvesting and above all a city with people empowered with civic sense. Putting in infrastructure such as flyovers, bridges, high rise apartments , broadband and digital hubs withut attending to the former would be a GRAVE BLUNDER. Stakeholders come and meet us for some startling data that planners must see.

We should live in pollution free environment,so it is necessary to plant trees as much as possible.Infrastructure wise we should concentrate on wider roads to avoid traffic.A place should be fixed to store garbages also not only to this city also to all, they should be recycled.make our city smart and clean #Vellore.

Sir, Vellore is like a bridging city connecting South AP and TN, extending from Vellore city propper, Ambur, walajah, Ranipet, Arcot, even upto the borders of T-Malai. These are dedicated business centers & need civic infrastructure, road & rail connectivity, power, IT connectivity, training hubs, sewage & waste disposal- specialised curing centers for the tanning units, ground water recharge - needs great attention due to long standing contamination, accessible health care for factory workers.

Sir, the infrastructural & civic needs of the city need to be taken up at the earliest. Power, water, waste disposal are common problems. Vellore is an ancient town with many monuments & temples. These need to be developed as tourist spots.
The town has also gained importance as a medical hub with both state & private medical centers doing good work - this should be encouraged & supported - Not only allopathy, Indian systems of medicine, especially, Siddha, which is practised extensively too.

In respect to smart city concept,business,economic,infrastructure development are OK, but, the real development of social harmony,human development,cultural development, etc.things are very important for peace,harmony and fruitfull helping nature of people.For that,there should be YOGA,SPIRITUAL,PRAYER CENTRE in CITY.There should be no crime & no accused,Jail should be paid & luxurious with all accommodation like AC,bed-sofa,pure bhojan-breakfast,TV but no mobile-net as per jail manual strictly

In respect to smart city, people safety and security specially to woman should be given high priority.CCTV camara should be fixed at all the points from entrance of city to exit of city, which should be constantly monitored. smart city should be trade,sercives and business oriented, NO industries which make pollution, should be sanctioned within the limit of 25 kms of the city. The city should be completely with trees and plants,it should be pollution free, The people should feel like heaven

A super speciality govt hospital should be started. Vellore can be projected as a good medical tourism place

Please create some recreation facilities

Please include Walajapet /Ranipet and Arcot areas
ranipet is a major industrial area of vellore and waste water treatment of leather tanneries will benefit people in those areas
