The Government of lndia has launched an ambitious "Smart Cities Mission" to promote cities that provide core infrastructure and a good quality of life to its citizens, a clean and sustainable environment with the application of 'Smart' Solutions'. The Government of India have identified Warangal as one of the 100 cities to participate for the smart city challenge.

In this context, the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) is in the process of preparing the Smart City Proposal. The GWMC seeks valuable suggestions of the citizens to formulate the vision for the Smart City Warangal.

A strategic vision shapes a preferred future for a city. A successful vision has economic, spatial, social and environmental dimensions that reflect a city’s unique physical and cultural traits; it provides direction for the activities of the Corporation, citizens and stakeholders; and ensures that citizens, city agencies, and stakeholders are working towards those shared sub-goals. The vision statement should inspire our city’s residents and can even become the branding for our smart city.

The Smart City Advisory Forum of Warangal shall evaluate the vision statement and award the best three entries.

Note: Please restrict to a maximum of 50 words.

Kindly, post your views and ideas till 31st October, 2015.

Smart City Should focus on:
Saving Time & Energy.

Saving Travel time by having Effective Public Transport as it directly effects productivity.

Low cost Energy will fulfill most of the problems as a smart city would highly need it.

On matter of Employment:
When overall city will develop i believe more employment opportunities will be created.

Indian history has witnessed the splendid gifts given by the Warangal city, the kingdom of Kakatiyas, in the form of formidable Fort Architecture through Orugallu Fort, Temple Architecture in the form of Thousand Pillar Temple . The Govt of India has also recognized it by making it as a HRIDAY City in modern times. As the city being sustained by the number of centuries dating back to 8th century, the problems are also being evolved for a common man in day-to day life described in attachment

my opinion is to make jabalpur a smart city we  have make a plan of new bisalpur on a new land nearby the city bisalpur as that of new delhi or navi Mumbai.then  we have to use the land economically  and we have our own power generation scheme like solar energy efficient buildings.

I think for any smart city energy is a big concern.Since now a lot of new buildings would come up, I feel most of those buildings should have solar panels installed to make the city energy sufficient or maybe even surplus. Moreover Led bulbs could be used.

now bilaspur
is Selected in Smart City for different activity in Arts, Cultural and Sports. so my personal view to make more participation of citizens as well students in cultural and sports activity that government should open on sport center for each and every sports that will provide training at low cost so that will encourage more people and also encourage Local Artists of Drama, Music, Vocal, Folk, traditional Dance rather than Western Culture.

“We had a very good experience and we got a lot of interest in our offering along with possibilities to discuss with numerous potential partners and technology collaborators. We also got interest from various cities, and research institutions. We signed an MOU with a South Korean company, IDOlink, for us to design and build smart city applications based on some of their technologies as well as make our visualization technology available for their customers in
