The Government of India is taking several measures for promoting the growth of the manufacturing sector in India. The Make In India campaign has been initiated with the view of driving investment in this sector by creating an environment suitable for sustained growth of manufacturing, which will lead to all-round economic benefits including employment generation and income growth. The Prime Minister’s Independence Day speech mentioning this can be seen here and his speech at the launch of the Make In India campaign can be seen here.

This requires a number of steps to be taken to ensure that investors are suitably incentivized for job-creation as well as participating in the skill upgradation of the labour force employed by them.

Suggestions received from various Ministries and other stakeholders during Government-level discussions in this regard can be seen here. These suggestions include financial incentives under the Income Tax Act, labour laws, tax incentives and subsidies for skilling of employees, upgrading and improving the employment exchanges, etc.

We invite comments regarding these ideas and suggestions regarding other incentives that can be provided by the government for employment generation in the manufacturing sector. Your suggestions may be provided in the comment box below or attached as a PDF. We request that the suggestions may be explained in sufficient detail with information about the implementation mechanism and the likely impact.

The last date for submission of the entries is 2nd December, 2015.

I suggest providing free transport for industrial workers from workplace to home and vice versa. This would be an effective and economy friendly incentive as the Service sector is the largest contributor to Indias GDP
This can be done by  introducing an effective bus service in rural and sub urban areas, and giving a free ticket on the submission of a statement stating that they are from a particular manufacturing company in urban areas.

in Haryana to get the power connection for industry is almost impossible unless you pay Rs 1000/- per KW to the SDO, J.E. and to other clerical staff through their agents. In this sinerio how can you expect industrial growth

The engineering graduates lack skill and on the job training , that is why they are getting employed in the service sector. They should be encouraged , incentivised and trained to get employment in the core manufacturing sector.

Only the minimum pay increase from 7000 to 18000 per 7th pay commission can be accepted, this difference of Rs 11000 can be paid to all higher pay bands , which might be reasonable.Increasing the pay for other bands by 2.57 to 2.78 times existing pay will be bad for the country as private sector will be forced to increase the salary and due to the rise in salary and living costs India will become uncompetitive high cost destination and cannot compete with china and FDI will not flow into India

Clause 5.1.9 of the 7th Pay Commission says the pay structure as it stands today is fairly compact and manageable, so there is no reason to increase the pay except for the entry pay band of rs 7000.It is proposed to increase the salary of cabinet secretary which is 90000 to Rs 2.5 lakhs/month, very high and unjustified , if the 7th pay is accepted youth will not join jobs in the private sector but sit at home and attend coaching classes to pass upsc/ssc exams in hope to get government employment

Dear Sir,
Please don't accept the recommendations of the 7th Pay commission due to the following reasons. You promised us minimum government and maximum governance. The 7th pay commission suggests to increase the entry pay from 2.57 to 2.78 times. While a minimum pay of Rs 18000 for the existing entry pay of 7000 is justified which is increase of 2.57 times , multiplying the existing entry pay by 2.57 to 2.78 times for pay bands starting from 9300 onwards is unjustified as private co pay is low

Private sector making harassment of workers & Employees. I am working in limited company from last 2 years which has 600 cr turnover. But today my salary is only 9400 and i am on contract basis. No value for graduates in private sector. Please make rule of minimum salary 12000 to 15000 in private sector. Poor people really needs it.
I have lot of expectations from this govt. & Narendra Modi ji.
