My experience at Indian Consulate at Houston was very very bad. Officers at enquiry counter and others are very rude and indifferent to the need of the Indians. They do not answer phones. One lady said she kept on trying phone on three different numbers thru three different phones. Phones were ringing but they do not answer. I was there to get a certificate of surrender of Indian Citizenship. They have no respect for people of Indian origin. They think that they are uncrowned kings.

The documentation work for Tatkaal passports is quite complex. I am a private sector Professional from Andhra currently living in Delhi. I want to renew my Passport in Tatkaal and for that, I was asked for Annexure 'F'. Now this is a doc. to be signed by govt. employees (class 1). Does that mean, people with no high profile connections are not eligible for Tatkaal? This is in no way different from the redtape we all want to eliminate.

Had applied at the Austrian Embassy for Schengen Visa. I will direct my grievance towards the vfs global, since the work is been outsourced to this agency. They rejected my application stating that the bank account does not show promising transactions to assertion my claim of food financial condition. There was no way to rebut their decision but re-apply. i resend the same bank account only highlighting the transaction and the visa granted. surely a case of making money,,

I have applied for OCI card in lieu for PIO card for my daughter. My question is why do we need to submit all the documents again if we have a valid PIO card? Why can't the embassy issue an OCI card directly if the applicant already has a valid PIO card?

I am a NRI in Paris, France. The first thing every Indian feels about the embassy is their rude behaviour. Every other embassy has nice and helpful staff while ours treat us so badly. Living in all the luxuries, they feel above the common man and that has become a well known practice of indian consuls. Also, they are highly incompetent and most of the time take hours to fix a problem of 2 minutes. An extensive training about how to treat the person is definitely needed.

People at overseas locations who wants to avail consular services pay more than Resident Indians pay at India for the same service. But, at Embassies, we need speedy services. Officers who are authorised to approve the services rendered must sit at counters and on the spot must render the required services. May be within few hours, people can get the services so that they can avail swift services.
