G. Kavitha from a rural farm family, after joining in SHG and with subsequent trainings has become a master on organic farming. She supports 44 SHG members in the adoption of new practices of organic farming. She has demonstrated the cost reduction on organic farming; she runs a NPM shop in her village . G. Kavitha has descended from a rural agrarian family. They have 3 acres of paddy land and a small vegetable garden of 0.1 acre.

Even after an early marriage, Rekha Devi continued her study, helped her husband in agriculture and did wage labour to contribute to her family. She took two doses of loan from her SHG and purchased two buffaloes. She became a Krishi Sakhi, got training on new practices of agro-ecology, applied the learning in her field, thus increasing her income to Rs 1.25 lakh per annum. She formed and ran FFS, provided support to 30 SHG members in the adoption of various practices that reduced their cost of cultivation by Rs 1,575 per bigha and increased the production of Bajra by 30 kg per bigha.

Ruhi Begum is an exception in her community, she formed the SHG in her village, kept books of accounts, then selected as a Krishi Sakhi, and then as a master CRP. She took a loan from SHG for the purchase of seeds, then took a second instalment and installed an irrigation system and converted her entire land into irrigated one. She received training on agro-ecology and applied those in her field, producde chemical-free vegetables, and increased her income to Rs 2.9 lakh from just Rs 60,000 per annum before joining in SHG. She supports 510 SHG members in the adoption of new practices, also provides on-field supports to farmers of UP, Haryana, and Punjab, she is now pursuing her MSW

Champa Singh, the eldest daughter, lost her father in her early age, left school at 8th to help her mother in agriculture, lost her husband just 2 months after marriage, lost her sister due to lack of treatment had only 2 acres of land with an annual income of Rs 69,000. She joined in SHG and later selected as Krishi Sakhi, got training on agro-ecology, applied the same in her land, crop yield increased, 300 SHG members got inspired to see the result started following her. She is running an NPM shop in her village, her annual income increased to Rs 2,97,000.)

‘सबका साथ सबका विकास’ के मूलमंत्र पर सतत रूप से कार्यरत वर्तमान सरकार ने कृषि क्षेत्र के चहुमुखी विकास और किसानों की आय बढ़ाने की अपनी प्रतिबद्धता को 2019 के बजट के साथ एक बार पुन: उजागर कर दिया है। मैं आपको बता दूँ कि कृषि एवं किसान कल्याबण मंत्रालय का बजटीय आवंटन वर्ष 2018-19 के 58,080 करोड़ रूपए से लगभग ढाई गुना की बढ़त के साथ 1,41,174.37 करोड़ रूपए हो गया है।

“कृषि कल्याण अभियान” के प्रथम चरण (1 जून से 15 अगस्त, 2018) की सफलता को देखते हुए कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण मंत्रालय द्वारा 2 अक्टूबर 2018 से 25 दिसम्बर 2018 तक देश भर के ग्रामीण इलाकों में इस अभियान का द्वितीय चरण चलाया जाना तय किया गया था, लेकिन 6 राज्यों छत्तीसगढ़, मध्यप्रदेश, मिजोरम, राजस्थान, तेलंगाना में विधानसभा चुनाव व पंजाब में पंचायत चुनाव के मद्देनजर इस अभियान को 26 जनवरी, 2019 तक बढ़ा दिया गया हैI

भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद में पारंपरिक रूप से प्रौद्योगिकी विकास और प्रसार में मुख्यय बल खाद्य और पौषणिक सुरक्षा उपलब्धी कराने के उद्देश्य से फसल, पशु और फार्म उत्पायदकता को बढ़ाने पर दिया जाता रहा है। इस प्रकार विकसित की गई प्रौद्योगिकियों ने खाद्यान्नष, बागवानी फसलों, दूध, मात्स्यिकी और अंडों के उत्पाेदन को बढ़ाने में महत्वकपूर्ण रूप से योगदान दिया है।
