The India International Science Festival (IISF) 2021 Quiz, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, in association with Vijnana Bharati, Government of Goa, and the MyGov, aimed to engage participants in various themes covered during the seventh edition of this mega science festival. The quiz was available from December 10, 2021, to December 14, 2021, offering a platform for participants to test their scientific knowledge and awareness.

Swachh Sagar Surakshit Sagar Quiz was organized by Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India in collaboration with MyGov India to test the basic awareness level of Indian citizens about our coastline, beaches and the science behind its habitat, environment and the negative impact of litter and pollution.

On the backdrop of huge loss of life and property due to cyclones over the North Indian Ocean, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations (UN) took the initiative to establish the WMO/ Economic & Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) Panel on Tropical Cyclones (WMO/ESCAP PTC) in 1973 to save the life and property from the vagaries of cyclones affecting the countries in the Bay of Bengal & Arabian Sea region.

To commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence and as a part of the ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the India Meteorological Department conducted an Open Poem Competition (23rd October, 2021 – 23rd November, 2021) through MyGov Portal with an aim to raise awareness about various aspects of Weather & Climate Sciences and to explore the creative instinct of the masses.
