On the 12th of October 2015, Hon. Mayor Mr. Alok Sharma led a citizen consultation at Noor-Us-Sabah Palace Hotel with the Chamber of Commerce and other industrial associations with a view of inviting suggestions from the business class of Bhopal.

To utilize the festivity and large gathering of people during the Durgapuja Festival, a Kiosk cum walk in Idea Camp has been organized by NKDA for the period 18-10-2015 to 22-10-2015 at the sprawling lush green traffic island near the 1st rotary of the Major Arterial Road where any person can walk in, take rest on comfortable arm-chairs, read the information leaflets and self-assessment sheets, put their comments and share their smart ideas for the future New Town, Kolkata.

Dr. Krishan Kumar, the Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation and the Vice-Chairman of Bhubaneswar Development Authority was invited to the Red FM 93.5 Radio Station to brief the citizens on the completion phase of Round-1 activities planned for the Citizens Connect Initiative for the Bhubaneswar Smart City campaign and the commencement of Round-2.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) launched the Citizen’s Connect Initiative- ‘Bhubaneswar Smart City- the Big Connect’– at IDCOL Auditorium on the morning of September 26th, 2015.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation hosted a talk-show on 5th October, 2015 to launch a city-wide comprehensive citizen engagement program at the HT Parekh Hall at Ahmedabad Management Association. Citizen engagement is an integral part of Ahmedabad’s smart city proposal.
