The National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated every year on December 14 since 1991. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), under the aegis of the Ministry of Power, spearheads the celebrations every year. “Mela Moments Photography Contest” was an initiative by the Ministry of Culture, under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to work towards popularizing festivals and melas across the country. Announced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, during his Mann Ki Baat, the campaign aimed to uplift the spirit of the festive season through visiting and clicking pictures of the festivals and melas.

The Theme Song for IMD competition was conducted through the MyGov Portal. The theme song contest for IMD’s 150 years went live on 16th November 2023 and closed on 15th December 2023.

To build awareness and appreciation for the rich crafts and products from across the country and the One District One Product Initiative, the ODOP Selfie Challenge was conducted in collaboration with MyGov for the users to participate in.
