In the run-up to COP (Conference of Parties) 21 scheduled in Paris from 30th November to 11th December 2015, MyGov and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change are pleased to announce a MyGov Talk with the Honourable Minister, Shri Prakash Javadekar on the 26th October 2015 at 5.00PM in collaboration with Google India.
With India's Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC), the country is keen to attempt to work towards a low carbon emission pathway, while simultaneously endeavouring to meet all the developmental challenges that the country faces today. The INDC aims at promoting clean energy, especially renewable energy, enhancement of energy efficiency, development of less carbon intensive and resilient urban centres, promotion of waste to wealth, safe, smart and sustainable green transportation network, abatement of pollution and India’s efforts to enhance carbon sink through creation of forest and tree cover.
Citizens are invited to share their ideas, questions and inputs on India's role in COP21 and on the following proposals laid down by INDC:
• Sustainable Lifestyles
• Cleaner Economic Development
• Reduce Emission intensity of Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
• Increase the Share of Non Fossil Fuel Based Electricity
• Enhancing Carbon Sink (Forests)
• Adaptation
• Mobilizing Finance
• Technology Transfer and Capacity Building
Selected ideas and names would also be mentioned by the Hon. Minister and other experts during the MyGov Talk.
Contributors from MyGov, Climate Change Experts, senior journalists and social media influencers will join the panel discussion with Shri Prakash Javadekar.

As a policy maker, we Indians are failure in conserving the safe environment. How we can assume that in the EIA report company himself will declare that the location is sensitive for industrial activity. As a result more that 90% EIA reports are fake based on which MoEFCC is awarding the permission. Even the baseline data used in most of the EIA reports are copy paste data. Need some serious thinking about the process.
For Carbon Sink, apart from protecting &improving the existing forests(by creating more natural fenced reserves),we should also think to develop more and more urban/social forests.
For our life style change, we need to have more public transport facilities & restriction of number of vehicles per family. For more than one vehicle/family Govt must impose heavy tax.We should also encourage the use of wind &solar energy.Better to use battery operated vehicle inside educational campus. if we force the vehicle making company to work on principle of Walking bike(link video are share at 10th position https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001624308355)if we combine this principle with nanotechnology and Water stream principle on high speed car can be reduce the consumption of petroleum and other fuels. The electrical car are not perfect solution because it improve the production of electricity on other hand.If we develop walking bike principle with less human force is perfect
In line with goal of enhancing forest carbon sink thus implementing Green India Mission and in compliance with National agro forestry policy along with joint forest management we have started cultivation of white sandal wood cultivation in some part of Maharashtra. This will open multiple secondary options for farmers to venture in alternative source of income as this cultivation will boost the yield of tur pulses by 5 times. At present we are done with 250 acres,
Industrial areas in the heart of New Delhi are a BIG source of pollution. They should be converted to commercial areas without any charges. Instead they should be given some incentive for the same. I am refereeing to the following:
Wazirpur Industrial Area,
Naraina Industrial Area,
Mayapuri Industrial Area
Thanks, and best regards.
As we all know that tree are the only solution for the increasing global temperature. But we are not able to produce land for the forest as we are a developing nation. So as per me the simplest and the best way to increase the tree cover is to put trees on both side of the all roads of country. At present we have total 33 lakhs kilometer roads way is available. It will reduce a lot of green house gases that emits from vehicles and does not requires extra land.
threaten our existence! I was stunned to discover the fact that it’s one of the top five contributors to climate change! This inspired me to contemplate on the causes and remedy of deforestation. After profound research, I found one of the prime reasons for flourishing deforestation is lack of resources to purge illegal logging.
Apprehension of illegal loggers with the current tech is impractical as we don’t have enough manpower to secure the vast expanse of forest. I know someone who innovated
Honourable Mr. Minister of State Sir,
Sub: Cost-effective technology to eradicate illegal logging
In the last 100 years we lost more forest cover than we probably lost in the last 2500 years and just a handful of our forest cover is considered pristine. Under the circumstances, I appreciate the government’s effort in protecting forest resources and encouraging reforestation.
What concerns me about ‘deforestation’ is that it gives birth to problems that have the audacity to
