In order to bring the Indian tunes to be played during the Beating Retreat Ceremony at Vijay Chowk on 29th January 2024 to the people, the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, has hosted the 'Beating The Retreat Ceremony 2024 - Tune Contest'.

In this contest, participants can create their video clips on the tunes of the Beating Retreat Ceremony 2024 and can upload their entry either in vocal or instrumental mode. The tunes (with lyrics) are mentioned below:
1) Click here for the 'Shankhnaad' tune
2) Click here for the 'Kargil 1999' tune
3) Click here for the 'Faulad Ka Jigar' tune
4) Click here for the 'Deshon Ka Sartaj' tune

Salient features:
1) Participants can create video clips in two categories, i.e., Vocal or Instrumental, on the tunes of the Beating the Retreat Ceremony 2024.
2) The time of the video clip to be uploaded by the participants should be between 45-60 seconds.

Gratifications:
The best three participants (in each category) will be rewarded with a cash prize as follows:
In the 'Vocal Category', the cash prize shall be as follows:
1st Prize: Rs. 25,000/-
2nd Prize: Rs. 15,000/-
3rd Prize: Rs. 10,000/-

In the ‘Instrumental Category’, the cash prize shall be as follows:
1st Prize: Rs. 25,000/-
2nd Prize: Rs. 15,000/-
3rd Prize: Rs. 10,000/-
