This task gives you the freedom to come out with your own draft roadmap on how various stakeholders can come together and work towards cleaning the Ganga. This document must be rich in research and must contain effective solutions and a futuristic outlook. The key lies in working together and embracing PPP model.
Now what my idea is may seems some people a out of the box idea, I proposed that all big drainage lines in northern india should be interconnected and should be diverted away from the river .Now this will make sure that there will be no drainage going to any river plus it will save huge amount of electricity used to purify the drainage water before disposing it into rivers. Now other thing is where will you dispose this drainage water .Because it must be big drainage system as it is all drainage
I thank Mr Narender Modi to open such a forum for people to write and discuss solutions on ganga cleaning, Firstly I think the realistic approach to clean ganga cannot be by cleaning water everytime before we dispose it off, this will take lot of electricity and there is no gurantte that all the pollutant which we will see in future will be distilled..Because the filter and level of cleaning standard are with those in current practices, So what ever we have to do.It have to a permanent solution.
A dam should be constructed before the Chambal river met with river Yamuna. A canal should be created which passes over river Yamuna and met with river Ganga.
One dam should be constructed around Lakhimpur on Sharda River and a canal should be constructed which terminates at Unnao in Ganga river (passing over river Gomti). It will improve the flood situation in tarai belt and that canal will cater shortage of water in Ganga at Kanpur Unnao. One more dam should be constructed on Ghaghra River and a canal should be constructed which terminates at Allahabad in Ganga river. It will improve the flood situation and will cater shortage of water at Allahabad.
Please find My Brief Plan to clean Ganga in attached PDF.
you can also view CENTRAL POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD attachment for your referance.
finance ministry should declare a ganga punarjeewan bond giving 5% annual interest. large population will come forward with their savings and contribute to it. involve people, their money, their religious beliefs to rejuvenate. keep away all english speaking bureaucrats from ganga project, as they pronounce it as ganges not as maa ganga. time has come to distinguish between a person who is spritually competent to handle a work and who is not
please read my suggestion
1-every house should have septic tanks so they didn't produce sewage
2-water treatmaent plants fo treating the industrial waste
3-we all have to serve ganga with our two hands instead of blaiming
4-mainholes should be taped then treated and then released in ganga
5-we also have to clean all the tributaries of ganga
6-we have to build micro dams
7-dead bodies shouldn't be released in ganga
8-picnic spot should be developed
9-proper inspection of every steps.
It is demanded that a committee of experts to monitor the progress of the governmental course of actions in this direction should be appointed. It should report all of its findings and actions to the Supreme Court of India which direct the Central and State Governments.
Since, Industries dump a large quantity of inorganic and non-bio degradable wastes into the river, It is demanded that further establishments of any kind of new Industry without proper management shouldn't be undertaken. Also, those who are flouting the pollution regulation norms should be checked at once. Afforestation and efforts to save wild life in the Himalayas should be regulated by a high powered committee.
