Brief on Digital India
Digital India, a flagship program of the Government of India, aims to “transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy”, the focus is on being transformative to realise IT (Indian Talent) + IT (Information Technology) = IT (India Tomorrow). This program centres on three key vision areas of “Infrastructure as a Utility to Every Citizen”, “Governance and Services on Demand” and “Digital Empowerment of Citizens”.
Digital India aims to provide thrust to the 9 pillars of growth areas of the country, namely Broadband Highways, Universal Access to Mobile Connectivity, Public Internet Access Program, e-Governance: Reforming Government through Technology, e-Kranti: Electronic Delivery of Services, Information for All and Early Harvest Programmes. While the Government is doing all that it possibly can to realise Digital India’s vision by actively rolling out services and projects, the need of the hour is to give a prominent voice to this transformational revolution.
For this purpose, the Department of Electronics & IT invites entries from interested participants to create an over arching message of Digital India that will convey Digital India’s vision and dream and enlighten the masses about the Program. The message should be precise, concise and communicate clearly what this Program will do for the citizen and help him/her connect with Digital India.
The last date for submission is 28th March 2015.
The selected messages will be awarded a cash prize as under:
1. First Prize - Rs. 10,000/-
2. Second Prize - Rs. 5000/-
3. Third Prize - Rs.2000/-
