Brief on Digital India
Digital India, a flagship program of the Government of India, aims to “transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy”, the focus is on being transformative to realise IT (Indian Talent) + IT (Information Technology) = IT (India Tomorrow). This program centres on three key vision areas of “Infrastructure as a Utility to Every Citizen”, “Governance and Services on Demand” and “Digital Empowerment of Citizens”.
Digital India aims to provide thrust to the 9 pillars of growth areas of the country, namely Broadband Highways, Universal Access to Mobile Connectivity, Public Internet Access Program, e-Governance: Reforming Government through Technology, e-Kranti: Electronic Delivery of Services, Information for All and Early Harvest Programmes. While the Government is doing all that it possibly can to realise Digital India’s vision by actively rolling out services and projects, the need of the hour is to give a prominent voice to this transformational revolution.
For this purpose, the Department of Electronics & IT invites entries from interested participants to write lyrics for an anthem on Digital India that will put in words the vision and dream of this Program, convey about activities that are happening on ground and inspire India to participate in this nation building endeavour. The wordings should be poignant, inspiring and should contribute, in no small measure, to the impact it is intended to generate. Lyrics should infuse fresh energy in communicating Digital India’s vision and strike an emotional chord with the audience.
The last date for submission is 28th March 2015.
The selected messages will be awarded a cash prize as under:
1. First Prize - Rs. 10,000/-
2. Second Prize - Rs. 5000/-
3. Third Prize - Rs. 2000/-

while writing lyrics for digital India, i have tried to highlight the main aims of digital india and at the same time, i have also tried to use such words which will attract the mood of most of the people. I have written it in such a way so that music for this can be easily developed.

जन गण मन का यही विचार देश बने सुखी परिवार
शुन्य दिया भारत ने तब एक मिलाना है उसमें अब
बोलें संगडक की भाषा यही है भारत की आशा
परिवर्तन है पंख फैलाये आओ साथ हम भी उड़ जाएं
समस्या और समाधान सबकी सबसे हो पहचान
अंतरजाल जोड़ेगा सबको नहीं ठगेगा कोई किसीको
हर व्यक्ति खास हो हाथों में हाथ हो डिजिटल इंडिया की ऐसी बात हो
खेतों से कक्षा तक नौका से रिक्शा तक धरा के इस कोने से उस कोने तक
शिक्षा,योजना,अधिकार,खेती के प्रकार
अभियोग या कारोबार बनें डिजिटल करें अज्ञान पर प्रहार
