On 2nd October, 2019, it would be Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th Birth Anniversary and keeping the significance of the said date and the landmark, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi had initiated the Swachh Bharat Mission on 2nd October, 2014. The Mission was to make India clean by 2nd October, 2019. Since 2nd October, 2014, the Government had invested a lot of energy and resources to achieve this mission. A nation is not built by its Government but by its people. So, it is very important to raise the awareness among them about the vision of clean India and its significance. The best way to make people aware of an issue is by involving the kids and children. Thus, National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics, Zonal Campus, Kolkata aims at those kids falling between 5 years and 18 years of age by way of involving them in this propitious drive through a drawing competition. The competition revolves around topics like “Our Environment”, “India & Cleanliness” and “Clean Ganga”. Thus, it is very clear that the kids who would participate in this competition would have to visualise a concept about cleanliness and their Nation as well. With the participation of these kids from all over the country, National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics, Zonal Campus, Kolkata wishes to sensitize them about the boon of a clean India.
