Rashtrapati Bhavan has announced an online auction of selected gifts handed over to the President and ex-Presidents over the years. The aim of this initiative is to not only increase citizen engagement but also to support a noble cause. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to help children in need. The auction will take place on the E-Upahaar portal, launched by President Smt. Droupadi Murmu on July 25, 2024.Two hundred and fifty gifts will be put up for auction from August 5 to August 26, 2024, in the first phase. Selected gifts belonging to the Hon’ble President and to the former Presidents (Dr. Kalam, Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, and Shri Ramnath Kovind) are on the e-auction portal. Some unique gift includes a unique shell craft painting of Subhash Chandra Bose, a bust of Rabindranath Tagore made with Sholapith, a beautiful Theyyam memento, and a traditional tribal Musical instrument Sarinda. Gift items have been divided into categories such as Traditional Art and Painting, Divine art, Models, and Mementos.

The base price range is from Rs 2700 to Rs 4,02,500. At the end of the bidding period, the items will be delivered to the successful bidders.
