With an objective of making quality generic medicines available at affordable prices to all, Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) was launched by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. Under this scheme, dedicated outlets known as Janaushadhi Kendras are opened to provide generic medicines.
In light of “Jan Aushadhi Diwas 2022”, the Department of Pharmaceuticals will like to offer a warm welcome to all College/school students, pharmacy students and medical students, 14years and above to participate in Essay writing competition. To engage the students with the pariyojana and to educate about the benefits of generic medicines, Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI), the implementing agency of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) invites innovative entries.
The themes for Essay Writing are:
1. “Jan Aushadhi – Jan Upyogi” जन औषधि जन उपयोगी
2. “Uttam Dawai Kam Daam – Swasth Bharat Ki Pahchan” उत्तम दवाई कम दाम - स्वस्थ भारत की पहचान

Criteria of Evaluation
The write-ups will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
1) Central Theme – contextual (20%)
2) Coherence and organization in structure (20%)
3) Creativity (40%)
4) Clarity in language expression and Style (20%)
Note: The contest is for 14 years and above age group students
Word Limit: Maximum 500 words
Language: Hindi or English only
Mode of submission
1) The participant should submit the write-up in PDF file format only.
2) Visit the website www.MyGov.in to submit the essay.
3) Write-up text should be submitted in readable Font.
4) Font size should be 12 or 14.
5) Line spacing should be 1.15 only.
AWARDS
Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI), the implementing agency of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) will award to all winners with cash prize of Rs. 5000/- (1st), Rs. 3000/- (2nd) and Rs. 1500/- (3rd) along with participation certificate.

2. Last day for submission of entries – 20 February 2022
