People are aware of the problems but there is a need to prioritize the challenges in order to tackle them effectively. This task gives the freedom to identify the challenges and list them out in proper order.
I've seen a lot of photos where people don't have enough money and hence they throw the whole body in the river. For these people special electric crematorium must be built where cremation should be done free of cost. Second of all, railings should be built on ghats so that no animal goes to the deeper part of the river and hence die. Thirdly, there should be a huge fine for polluting the rivers. There can also be plants set up for factory waste to be treated before releasing in the river.
गंगा किनारे शहरों के गंदे नालों का नदी
1-Reforestation in the sore of river to prevent soil erosion
2-Prevent Waste dilusion of industries & cities to river
3-For this waste water treatment plant should made
4-Filtered water should send to farmers for agriculture
5-Separate Ghat should be made for people
6-Special task force for controlling & maintenance
7-Motivation of fisheries in river
8-Awareness boards & banners placed shore
9-Colony shifted apart from river
10-Ganga Utsav Parv celebrate in cities for clean Ganga
ALL INDUSTRIES WHICH ARE NEAR TO GANGA RIVER SHOULD STOP DUMPING CHEMICALS.PUBLIC AWARENESS TO BE INCREASED.PUBLIC SHOULD BE APPOINTED AT EVERY 500 METER OR 1 000 METER TO CHECK WHO IS DUMPING THE GARBAGE IN GANGA.FOR THIS NEARBY PEOPLE OF THE LOCALITY CAN BE HIRED/VOLUNTEERED.
With thanks,
Rajiv Mani, Patna.
Major challenges we faced 1-sewage treatment required for household sewage 2-Awareness required not to dumping dead body 3-awareness not to dump plastic things while offering puja 4-Effulient treatment plant must be installed in all the industry 5-Rules and regulation for cleaning the GHATs 6-Fined imposed for dumping sewage in water 7-Awareness programme conduct everywhere every week 8-proper green toilet provide in GHATs 9- More plantation provide in GHATs area 10-Maintain proper ASTHA
The cultural attachment of River Ganga attracts many Bhakts.Major challenge is to retain the pious religious sentiments along with cleaning Ganga. How? Here is the solution: We can make different artificial cisterns(pools) in which Ganga Jal(Water of Ganga) is filled where adorers & bhaktas can have Ganga Snan, or can tribute flowers and Diyas, rather than directly offering to main river. This way, after some days the same organic waste from pools can be collected & can be used to make manure!
1 - a washroom every kilometer or 2 (minimum)
2 - atleast 3 -4 dustbins in a kilometer
3 - keep a separate area reserved for bathing in GANGA
4 - organize the crowd by fencing the banks..
5 - keep an entrance fee to enter GANGA like 5rs max n use dat money for the welfare and cleaning of GANGA
6 - stop people from washing their animals at the banks by charging them fine.. minimum 500 / animal
7 - if a person is caught spitting PAN (recorded on camera) then he should be fined minimum 500
The best way to treat waste water mixed with Industrial chemicals, effluents, sewage etc is to: - 1. Let it evaporate, that is natures way to clean water. 2. Grow water hyacinth. These are sturdy plants that grow on dirty water and increases the rate of evaporation. 3. Use of biological method like enzymes and micro organisms to break down complex chemicals in waste water.
Let's get one thing straight that we don't have to "clean" Ganga, we just have to make sure that we stop polluting it any further, Ganga will clean itself pretty soon. The biggest hazard is not bio-degradable waste but non-bio-degradable waste like plastics, Industrial chemical and affluents, it's the latter than needs to be channelized away from Ganga & Yamuna into a reservoir and treated, the river eco system is strong enough to deal with bio degradable waste by itself.
