The aim of Surat Smart City Development Ltd. (SSCDL) to provide world class infrastructure and utility services to Citizens of Surat city under Smart City Mission and to improve livable conditions in the city. In this process, SSCDL is making continuous consultation with citizens, stakeholders, experts, professionals, industrialist of city time to time. As a part of citizen consultation, SSCDL had launched two contests under “Make Our Surat City Smart” (Round 1) on 25 June, 2015 on the first anniversary of Smart City Mission. SSCDL is thankful to citizens of Surat for their active participation in both the contests.
As part of citizen consultation and as per the guidelines given by Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), SSDCL is launching 3 contests named “Make Our Surat City Smart” (Round 2) for citizens of Surat. Through these contests, SSDCL seeks innovative/ creative ideas/ suggestions from citizen of Surat to develop Surat city as future Smart city. The citizen consultation/suggestions are very much important to us to make Surat city much better in each and every aspect.
In this context, SSCDL has launched total 3contests under “Make Our Surat City Smart” (Round 2)for visual improvement of 3 selected Area Based Development (ABD) components of Surat Smart city proposal. These contests are for Retrofitting of selected existing components only. Retrofitting means upgradation of existing facilities. In this regard, an expert team from MoUD had visited Surat city during 18 to 22 July, 2016 and with their assistance, the audit reports are prepared for each component. Citizens are required to study these reports and also they may visit the site location for better understanding and participate in these contests as per the terms and conditions attached herewith.

Contest #1: Street: Located Street between Parvat Patiya Junction to Jayveer Society in East zone. Also krishna junction and parvat patiya junction is located in between parvat patiya to jayveer society street in East zone.

Surat Smart City Development Limited (SSCDL) hereby invites Citizens of Surat to participate in these design competitions to create an exclusive and artistic but at the same time feasible, realistic and useable designs retrofitting in existing conditions that have potential as per the rules and eligibility criteria of the contest. The decision of jury panel, Surat Smart City Development Limited for selecting the winners shall be treated as final & binding to all the participants.

Winner Prizes: 1st Prize- Rs. 50,000/- , 2nd Prize – Rs. 30,000/- and 3rd Prize- Rs. 20,000/-
