The Sun has been worshipped as a life-giver to our planet since ancient times. India has a vast solar energy potential. The PM Suryaghar: Muft Bijli Yojana aims to integrate the use of solar energy in our everyday lives through the recently launched Rooftop Solar (RTS) Programme. With an initial target of covering one crore households, the scheme will enable beneficiaries to generate up to 300 units of electricity per month through solar panels. The beneficiaries can also avail subsidy up to ₹78000.
To promote awareness of the Scheme, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and REC Limited in collaboration with MyGov is organizing “PM SURYA GHAR MUFT BIJLI YOJANA REEL Competition” on MyGov platform. The citizens can create suitable videos (in reel format) explaining the importance of green energy and its benefits for the environment. The content of the reel should encourage the users to adopt clean energy.
Entries will be evaluated on the parameters of creativity, artistic merit, impact, and on how coherently the theme is portrayed in the reel.
Steps to Participate:
1.Make a reel based on the best representation of the theme.
2.Follow PM Suryaghar social media pages:

3.Post your reel on Instagram or YouTube and use the hashtag #PMSuryaGhar tagging PM Suryaghar handles.
4.Submit your reel on the MyGov portal.
Technical Parameters:
1.The maximum size of the reel should be 60 seconds.
2.Along with submission on the MyGov Page, the reel should be uploaded from the contestant’s account on YouTube or Instagram with hashtag #PMSuryaGhar.
Gratification:
1.The best reel will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 15,000.
