With over 1.5 lakh Post Offices, the Department of Posts has the most widely distributed Postal network in the world. The goal of the Rural ICT Project is to provide a low power technology solution (ICT Device) to each Branch Postmaster (BPM) which will enable each of approximately 130,000 Extra Departmental Post Offices (EDOs) to improve the level of services being offered to rural customers with an objective to improve the quality of service, add value to services and achieve “financial inclusion” of un-banked rural population

"Digi-DAK " or "Digi-Posts".
The project name is suggested so as we all almost know that Information and Communication Technology is one of the main pillar of "DIGITIZATION" and as the project has been undertaken by ICT,so I am suggesting the name "Digi-Dak" or "Digi-Posts" which means 'Digital Dakghar" or "Digital Post office "
"Mission Upgrade" will be the right name for the project proposed. Because the main aim of the project is to provide more quality services to the population of un-banked rural people. This is achieved by updating the post offices and providing technology to the officials, which is simply known as "upgrading". I think it would be better to call this process as a "mission".
By combining the highlighted word I am propose the name as "Mission Upgrade".
CONCEPTS short for "Concept of Nationwide Communication & Effective postal system. The word "CONCEPTS" sounds like , we have some new idea or presenting exact point for a specific task. The Word "CONCEPTS" also symbolize that all the specification & technical Term, which we are looking for Rural (ICT) project.
"PRAGATI"is the name which I would like to suggest for the rural ict project. PRAGATI indicates the development process of not only the people but also the process to improve their life style by means of using the information technology also. Postal department is a old system of communication used,so using the new means of technology will assure the process easy and most convenient to the people, at the same time it will improve the aspect of development in the life of people.
