The aim of this task is to receive quality inputs on how to revolutionize employment exchanges across India in terms of offering better opportunities to youngsters. The policy inputs can cover each and every aspect associated with employment exchanges and enhancing job creation.
Personally I felt since last 25 years that Employment Exchange department is totally dead department. It is as helpless as a unemployed youth.
Govt. should empower this deptt. by routing all type of contractual, periodical, part time, project base jobs for registered unemployed youths as well as the payment of work.
2. Career counseling, higher studies, foreign education guidance should be give at the centers.
3. Every registered youth should be employed within 5-6 months as per education.
In India present employed percentage is low compare to Skill & literacy efficiency. Means we not full filling the available opportunities. This is because of lack of awareness on people, and policies by companies is not good. So have to bring systematic timely trainings, awareness camps on opportunities at educational institutions & ISO standard GO's for hiring companies. This bring good revolution in employment exchanges.
in my view employment exchanges are not required at all. sarkari naukari and freejobalert website are doing the job very well.
The new generation employment exchanges should first be redesigned to improve the employability skills of the graduates and post graduates. These exchanges should concentrate first on making the younger generation aware of the job skills required for various technical and non-technical jobs. These should act as an interface between the industry and the universities.. These exchanges should be reorganized to prepare the best human resources equipped with practical skills in all the fields .
Simple give access to what jobs you have got get access to what jobs are present in private sector, just get tied up with naukri and other job sites, one thing we need to perform here is data analytics and demand and supply, encourage citizens to take lower skill jobs, and at the same time let the educated use technology in lower skilled jobs ... use PPP model for job identification,
All employment exchanges must collect data from all open source, analyze thru' reliable source, and make it available thru' open forum online. also keep tract of all colleges and professional courses to keep data on students passing out. put their data and job expectations online, to match it with employers, to give fastest possible jobs, instead of campus interviews.
Make a skill oriented ,skill based section without reference to usual degrees which offers jobs based only on skills.Employer can easily verify the truth in a few minutes of task performance instead of elaborate often bogus written tests and useless interviews..
3. every certain period of time a survey need to be conducted for the candidates that the system which is provided by government how much they are satisfied with them and what improvement they needed.
This really help to improve the working of the new system which the government will implied .
2. I have personally experience many of the government online portals are available for providing facility. But due to unavailability of proper monitoring and feedback system they become useless.
Nobody receives the phonecall, the feedback and grievance link not worked and email bounce back. So people have no option to contact them and to inform that your system is not working.
So whatever the system will implement please make sure the proper monitoring and feedback system available with it.
1. Dear All, A national portal Only for unemployed people is necessary as most of us agreed with this but Most important point is whatever system you implement without proper monitoring and feedback system everything become worthless. There are also some online portal available by state government already but due to no monitoring and feedback system they are just a showpiece only.
These portals contains a lot of technical errors and there is no way to contact the related person.
