Safe India Hackathon is an online Idea Challenge & Hackathon being organized by Electropreneur Park Bhubaneshwar, a Centre of Excellence in ESDM by STPI, to find solutions to issues in these difficult times of #Corona Pandemic (#COVID-19). The challenge is looking to identify and support solutions which shall enable us to face the difficulties of the lockdown, innovativepreventive/corrective healthcare solutions and handling of unforeseen situations due to this pandemic .

Focus Areas:
1. Contactless detection or diagnostic product.
2. Developing devices and gadgets to support Social Distancing and Isolation.
3. Health monitoring solutions & devices
4. Solutions to stop spread of infection
5. Risk assessments and surveillance devices
6. Solutions for detecting violation of Social distancing norms and guidelines
7. User friendly Sanitation/Disinfection Tech-solutions at public places
8. Effective Quarantine monitoring and notification
9. Personal Protection Equipment and gadgets for healthcare professionals
10. Monitoring of animals or other assets adversely affected
11. Enhancing preparedness and efficiency in dealing with situation post lockdown
12. Other technology and hardware-based solutions for effective handling of pandemics
Selection Process: Idea Challenge followed by Hackathon
1. Stage1 - Idea Challenge–Innovative ideas and solutions which may be of super-duper need and will be required post this lockdown or to fight the pandemic’s long-term impact.
2. Stage2 - Hackathon–Shortlisted innovative ideas to create a demonstratable POC within stipulated timelines.
Duration:
1. Stage 1 - Idea Challenge: 7 days for idea submission and 3 days for evaluation & result declaration.
a. Start Date: 4th April 2020
b. End Date: 11th April 2020
c. Idea Challenge Result Announcement – 14th April 2020
2. Stage 2 - Hackathon: 21 days for demonstration of the POC
a. Start Date – 15th April 2020
b. End Date– 6th May, 2020
c. Hackathon Result Announcement – 11th May, 2020

Incentives:
1. Credit of Rs 20,000/- to shortlisted Ideas for buying components & for other spends online strictly for creating a POC for demonstration in Hackathon. Credit available only to participants of Hackathon.
2. Multiple cash awards /prizes upto Rs 1 lakh each.
