The Government of India has officially declared August 23rd as "National Space Day" to celebrate the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, which achieved a historic soft landing of the Vikram Lander at the 'Shiv Shakti' point and deployed the Pragyaan Rover on the lunar surface on August 23, 2023.

National Space Day recognizes significant achievements in space exploration and advances in space technology. It aims to inspire future generations by generating interest in space science among students and showcasing role models in the field.

In celebration of this momentous occasion, ISRO in collaboration with MyGov is launching a National Space Anthem Contest. Participants are required to submit an anthem with mandatory lyrics that reflect the spirit of space exploration and our nation's space achievements. While the lyrics are essential, additional melodies and musical elements are encouraged for submission to enhance the overall impact of the anthem (non-submission of melody will not lead to disqualification). This contest will provide a unique opportunity to contribute to our nation's space narrative and inspire others with your vision of the cosmos.
