In the last decade it was the road network that gave an impetus to India’s development. Today the need of the hour is to set up optical fibre networks across India that will empower people. This task invites your ideas on setting up a grid of high speed networks with the potential to transform India.
Ideas to develop fiber optic network are as follows (pdf file with more details also attached):
1) Connecting all villages/town of India by Fiber optic network
2) Sharing of existing fiber optic network of PSUs (BSNL and Railtel)
3) New Fiber optic network to be laid down by Government
4) Taking over control of all fiber optic networks by Government
5) PPP model in fiber optic network
6) Developing application for using this fiber network
I think there are no any cheap to establish or modifying current structure of optical fibre as there is available options of wirelessly from such cables. Do PPP and connect with india by mobile towers! Establish high speed 3G/4G across India is better than optical fibre.
I think we have a very good fibre network of both BSNL & RIL, Most of it is under utilized, we should encourage these entities to utilize it along with adding more area.
The researchers used arrays of micro-LEDs developed at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. The light emitted by micro-LEDs is modulated at high speeds to create a binary sequence. A receiver converts the light sequence into an electrical signal and feeds it to a computer or mobile device. Each of the elements in the array transmit a unique binary sequence at the same time. These parallel data streams are the reason the team can achieve such high speeds.
British researchers have transmitted wireless data at speeds of over 10 gigabits per second using LED lights. It is the latest breakthrough in the emerging field of Visible Light Communication (VLC).
VLC uses the visible light portion of the electromagnetic spectrum to transmit data. When the technology matures visible light could become an additional medium next to radio waves for wireless communication.
Evaluate the functions and objective fulfillments of NKN-National Knowledge Network program of previous Govts , Whether is it really aiding Advanced applications in areas such as Health, Education,Grid Computing, Agriculture, Bioinformatics ,Governance and Science & Technology which were part of NKN has not materialized for common good, need to know analyse pitfalls to overcome at least now
Sir,Give Right of Way clearnces to Govt Org for laying OFC in all sections urban and rural, Improve harvesting renewable energy and surveillance players in sync with telecom-OFC infrastructure hav total control on systems 3. Server deployments-operations be local in India, make the traffic locally in India , don't depend on International bandwidth for local needs of India. get all Embassies across nations to connect India digitally- Embassy officials must hav officials Telecom-Army skill
Lay OFC across International borders, mostly plans are in files and discussions, but not implemented, Improve Tele com and E-education,E-Medicine in North East regions, Exchange all of their markets and develop local skill and add value to commoner or farmer not middle man, Bring telecom & IT professionals into BSF and BRO and Intelligence Analysis wings to benefit user units by quick decision making. Stop blanket funding to telecom oprts on large scale for USO
Agreed we have NOFA-BBNL in place but not yielding results, strengthen by core and end delivery team/officers representation from Different depts + low count fibres mostly are imported must encourage local mfg + Use Telecom BSNL+ Electricity poles+Railway infrastructure for laying last mile connectivity+ Divert 2 fibres from all telecom operators PAN India as an obligation we have not less than 16 lakh Fibre routes, Improve revamp Telecom Eqpt high speed network mfg locally in India,
Encouraging small companies to provide optical fiber network using services from broadband provider giants in our country but with proper infrastructure strategies.
