Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) programme is a World Bank supported Scheme launched by the Government of India. It is a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India. The program focuses on providing comprehensive support to MSMEs, fostering their growth, and addressing challenges to ensure a robust and competitive business environment.
In the state of Uttar Pradesh, the Department of MSME & Export Promotion has taken up this programme and is being implemented by UP Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (UPSIC), which is the nodal Agency for the same. The following interventions have been approved by the Central government to be implemented in UP.
The interventions aim to strengthen MSMEs in Uttar Pradesh through various initiatives. These include promoting ZED and LEAN schemes, providing technical upgradation support, and establishing private MSME parks under the PLEDGE scheme. Vishwakarma Artisan Connect empowers artisans through a digital marketplace. The UP MSME 1-Connect portal enhances monitoring and data-driven reporting. Environmental and social governance (ESG) practices are promoted, and export capacities are boosted with reverse buyer-seller meets. Financial support for MBA programs and entrepreneurship training is offered, alongside strengthening capacity within MSME agencies. Additionally, training centers are upgraded for enhanced industry skills and practical training.
In reference to this, UPSIC in collaboration with MyGov is hosting a ‘Suggest a Hashtag Contest’ to tap the vigilance and marketing acumen of community members in suggesting a hashtag to enhance visibility in social media among the citizens about the RAMP Programme in Uttar Pradesh and encourage the MSME units in the state of Uttar Pradesh to take benefits from the interventions under RAMP.
The main objective of the hashtag competition is:
To enhance the visibility of RAMP on social media to create awareness among the audience about the RAMP Programme and its interventions.
Technical Parameters:
1. The hashtags should be original.
2. It should be simple in language and can be in both English and Hindi.
3. The hashtags should be concise and meaningful.
4. The hashtags should be relevant to the topics.
5. Only one hashtag per candidate will be eligible.
6. Entries with more than one hashtag will be disqualified.
7. MSME unit owners/representatives are encouraged to participate.
8. All the entries shall be scrutinized and short-listed based on the best concept, correct format, and creative imagination used, by a selection committee comprising Senior Officials from UP Small Industries Corporation (UPSIC).
Gratification:
1. First prize will be rewarded INR 5,000/-
2. Second prize will be rewarded INR 3,000/-
3. Third prize will be rewarded INR 2,000/-
The next 5 entries will receive a Certificate of Appreciation as a consolation prize.
